For now, I will continue to highlight the future stars of tomorrow. In this case, here’s another look at the Class of 2025.
You can take a look at part one by clicking here.
Maddox Fowles Maddox Fowles 6'8" | SF Western | 2025 State FL – Western
Maddox Fowles Maddox Fowles 6'8" | SF Western | 2025 State FL has some hops and height over in Davie. I saw a video of him dunking with ease on a fast break. Fowles is a 6-foot-6, 175-pound forward/center with solid frame and good base of athleticism. He played JV as an eight grader and averaged just over six points per game. Let’s see how he develops.
Michael Feenane Michael Feenane 6'4" | CG Columbus | 2025 FL – Miami Columbus
The first thing you might notice about Michael Feenane Michael Feenane 6'4" | CG Columbus | 2025 FL is his size. Feenane is about 6-foot-4 to 6-foot-5 and could fill in at multiple positions (guard/forward). I like his ability to put the ball on the floor and rise up as shooter. Feenane played on a Miami Columbus team that 29-2 overall and won the Class 7A state championship. He also appears to be a right-handed pitcher.
Jaylen Bates Jaylen Bates 6'2" | CG Cardinal Newman | 2025 State FL – Cardinal Newman
I think 2025 Jaylen Bates Jaylen Bates 6'2" | CG Cardinal Newman | 2025 State FL has a good amount of upside. Bates can play both guard spots and has pretty good size for a freshman (6’1). He scored in double-figures in two games this season for the Crusaders. Bates dropped 13 points against St. John Paul II Academy and ten points against Highlands Christian. He also hit three 3-pointers against SJPA. Bates also tracked down thirty boards and posted seven rebounds against Palm Beach Lakes.
Matt McPherson – King’s Academy
I liked what I saw on tape from Matt McPherson. The 6-foot shooting guard hustled for a few blocks as a trailer against John I Leonard. McPherson finished that game with 11 points and those two swats. Click on his hudl to see what I mean. King’s Academy went 20-7 this season with him in the mix. The program appears to have a number of freshman, including point guard Javian Jones. In addition, players listed include power forward Dominic Hunter and center John Casey.
Aaron Richards – Miami Christian
People are going to notice Aaron Richards. The Miami Christian prospect is listed at 6-foot-6, 230+ pounds. Richards grabbed 50 rebounds and had 11 boards against Coral Park. His size alone should be accounted for.
Jason Morris Jason Morris 6'1" | PG Deerfield Beach | 2023 FL – Miami Slam
Morris could be a point guard to watch in Miami-Dade County. The 5-foot-9 prospect averaged 12 points, 2.7 assists and 2.4 boards per game across 18 contests. Overall, Morris scored in double-figures in 12 games. Against Champagnat Catholic, he dropped a season-high 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field. Morris also dropped 19 points against Schoolhouse Prep and 17 points against Hallandale. He also dished out four or more assists in six games. From deep, Morris shot 16-of-44 (36 percent). I think he has a good amount of productivity to build on the rest of this year.
