When it comes to talent at the 5A level there was no shortage of players who could go. A lot of the top high schools in the state played anyone and everyone in order to get better and even bolster their RPI ranking. This particular player matched up well against everyone and he could hold his own against anyone. This years Prep Hoops 5A MVP is Jack Wistrcill Jack Wistrcill 6'8" | PF Olympus | 2022 State UT out at Olympus High School.

Scoring
When it comes to scoring Jack was one for the top scorers in the state and in 5A he had some other bigs to play against and he had his way with most of them. When Jack is deep on the block he is almost impossible to stop as he can power through contact but because he also has touch he can isn’t always just powering through people.
In the perimeter you would be surprised as he can score from deep and he has a nice 15-foot jumper. Really like his pick n’ pop game as well as his trail three.
Defensively
Defensively Jack has always held his own against bigs but he really worked on his lateral quickness. It was good to watch Jack switch off on some guards and play at a high level. He was able to hold his own and he used his length to cover ground and recover and not get beat. This will serve him well at the next level. When he defends bigs he really pushes them off the block as he dictates where he pushes them off the block. Slides his feet well and he will improve on that.
Overall
Jack will be a big that can continue to develop as his shot will improve and his quickness as well. He will get stringer and he will find a way to see the floor. Running up and down the floor with those elite D1 bigs will be a place where he will find the most developmental success in the future. Excited to track jack as his next chapter starts in Arizona.
