Q & A with coach Chris Buckmiller
PHD: What were some of the highlights of the season?
Coach Buckmiller: “Throughout the season we had many games that came down to the wire that we won. However, when I think about highlights of the season, most of them come off of the court. Pre-game music, bad dance moves after wins, team dinners, and joking in practices are just a few that come to mind.”
PHD: Which players improved the most for you this season?
Coach Buckmiller: “Andrew Daugherty was our most improved player of the year. He was someone who took every rep seriously and got leaps and bounds better throughout the year. Andrew truly got better each day at practice.”
PHD: Who were your biggest “impact players” this season?
Coach Buckmiller: “ Porter Ihnen Porter Ihnen 6'5" | CG Lennox | 2024 State #318 Nation SD was our biggest impact player. However, we had many other guys who made us succeed this year. PHD: Who was your best defender?
Coach Buckmiller: “ Jackson Arlt Jackson Arlt 5'10" | PG Lennox | 2022 State SD was an absolute monster on the defensive end this year. We always gave him the assignment of the best guard. He held other team’s best player below their season average in all but one game.”
PHD: Who was your best practice player and why?
Coach Buckmiller: “Our best practice player was Porter Ihnen Porter Ihnen 6'5" | CG Lennox | 2024 State #318 Nation SD . He set the example of being the first to show up and last to leave.
