The event was held at the Tarkanian Basketball Academy located at 2730 S Rancho Dr. All games from the camp were live-streamed and the recorded content can be found on the 7outz Network. This camp platform provides an opportunity for unknown players to get discovered, and the event features several prospects ready to take advantage of the opportunity. The camp featured over 40 prospects, all of who were watched and evaluated. In this article, we take a look at some evals from the camp.
Jalen Foy Jalen Foy 6'5" | SF Canyon Springs | 2022 State NV 6’5 SF Canyon Springs
Strengths: Good size for skillset, Catch and Shoot Ability
Weakness: R&J athleticism
Scouts Eval: Foy showed he can make plays, stationary and off the bounce. He was able to get to the cup off dribble drives and showed that he can score with his back to the basket. He’s won’t blow you away with his athleticism, however, he’s crafty enough to score over bigger opponents around the rim.
Jaelin McDougall Jaelin McDougall 6'2" | SG Spanish Springs | 2022 State NV 6’2 SG Spanish Springs
Strengths: Fundamentals, offensive scoring efficiency
Weakness: R&J athleticism
Scouts Eval: Mcdougal blends the line between smooth and casual. He has several offensive tools, allowing him to score the ball in a variety of ways. Mcdougal is able to finish in transition, or knock down open shots. Has the potential to be a productive scorer even at the college level.
Frank Evans Frank Evans 6'1" | SG Eldorado | 2022 State NV 6’1 SG Eldorado
Strengths: 1 v 1 ability, slashing
Weakness: Positional size, defense
Scouts Take: Evans validated that he can score the ball. He was able to make open jumpers and he also displayed some advanced finishing moves, going under and around rim protectors. The biggest question he will face will be if he can be effective as an undersized two-guard.
Shawn Huffine Shawn Huffine 6'3" | PG Shadow Ridge | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Shadow Ridge (featured image)
Strengths: Shooting, IQ
Weakness: Perimeter Ball Skill
Scouts Take: Huffine has a good understanding of offensive basketball, he knew how to slide to spots to keep floor spacing, and made opponents pay when they didn’t close out on him hard. He got some easy buckets by hustling in transition, however would have liked to see him put the ball down and create more in half-court situations.
