I traveled long and far across the entire state of Georgia from the North to the South, East to West to see some of the most intriguing matchups throughout the state tournament. Now that I can finally catch my breath, here are some of the top performers I saw over the past month of the GHSA State Playoffs.
2023 6-1 G Jalen Forrest Jalen Forrest 6'3" | PG Greenforest | 2022 State GA – Greenforest
Bowling ball guard that overpowers defenders when getting downhill. Uses his strength to protect the ball against pressure defense. Effective rebounder. Poured in 26 points and 6 rebounds in state championship.
2023 6-1 G Isaac Martin Isaac Martin 6'1" | PG King's Ridge | 2023 State GA – King’s Ridge
Money three-point shooter that went 6-10 from deep in title game. Shoots the ball with great confidence and can make plays with the dribble when looking to facilitate.

Kennesaw State-signee averaged over 30 points per game in state playoffs. Finished career with a state title, collecting 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. True point guard with a veteran presence. Sees the floor exceptionally well. Gifted scorer that has the game come easy. Sneaky good on-ball defender.
2023 6-1 PG Kory Mincy Kory Mincy 6'1" | PG Tri-Cities | 2023 State GA – Tri-Cities
Stock rising junior that carried Luella his sophomore season before transferring to Tri-Cities. Hit big shots in 5A State Championship, finishing with a game-high 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Pretty jump shot off the dribble and off the catch. Turns people over. Good playmaker.
