The event will take place on March 19th in the evening and features a nice amount of talent, so let’s take a closer look at a few of the top players that will be in attendance.
Wilson Prep Unsigned Guard Christian Battle is one of the prospects that we feel is highly overlooked due to his size, but this young man can flat out play! He has led his team to deep playoff runs in just about every year he has played, has deep range on his shot, is a gifted passer and plays the game with toughness.
Jacksonville HS Wing Shawn Jones has been outstanding the past two seasons, scoring and rebounding the ball at a high level. He understands how to use his athleticism on both ends of the floor, doesn’t settle too often for the outside shot and can defend multiple positions.
Pamlico County Guard Jamie Gibbs was the go-to guy for his team this season, leading them with 13 PPG and a record of 15-9 on the season. Not only was he able to make a nice impact on the game with his scoring, but he was also an outstanding rebounder from the Guard spot, mixing it up inside against bigger opponents.
Havelock HS had a season that was full of ups and down but one of the bright spots for them was Senior Julian Richards Julian Richards 6'0" | CG Havelock | 2022 State NC . He came into the season with a nice amount of varsity experience which was huge for a team that featured some young, raw talent.
Southern Nash Guard TJ Tayborn is another player that made a nice impact in various ways and one of those ways was his ability to score the ball. He can score from multiple levels and has a quick first step that he uses to blow by defenders. His rebounding and facilitating were also areas where he made nice impacts on games, crashing the boards against bigs and always having his head up to make the right pass.
