Kevin is a smart player that gets down hill and he can play through contact. Kevin has a defensive mentality and he can pick up high on the ball and really put pressure on an offensive player. Kevin has a good looking shot from deep. Kevin is a high motor player that gets it done.
#27 PH 6’7 SF Houston Johnsen Houston Johnsen 6'7" | SF Crimson Cliffs | 2023 State UT || Crimson Cliffs High School || 2023 ||
Talk about a kid with potential. He got better last season every game and we anticipate that he will make a huge stride towards increasing his output this Spring and Summer. Houston has length and he is still growing. He has started to do a lot of the little things like his activity off the ball and with his length and reach he could really do damage. With time and development he could really be a diamond in the rough.
#28 PH 6’9 C Kevin Li Kevin Li 6'9" | C Wasatch Academy | 2023 UT || Wasatch Academy || 2023 ||
Kevin is the backup big over at WA but he might have a different role next season as he works his way into more playing time He has gotten a lot better over the years as we have seen him really turn the corner from being a slow of foot freshman with some skill to a player that can cover ground and hold his own against some of the best out there. Kevin is an international talent that could land at a D2 that could use some size.
#29 PH 6’1 PG Jaxon Smith Jaxon Smith 6'1" | PG Woods Cross | 2023 State UT || Woods Cross High School || 2023 ||
The biggest surprise of the 5A tournament as Jaxon really excelled with multiple big games that put him and his team in the state championship game. He handles the ball really well for a guard that can score. He makes quick decisions and he is clutch when he needs to be. He is not out there hunting for shots. He lets the game come to him and he is smart about taking certain shots and getting others looks. He plays good defense and with some more strength and some more developmental growth defensively he is going to be a steal.
#30 PH 6’0 PG Jaxson Roberts Jaxson Roberts 6'2" | PG Corner Canyon | 2023 State UT || Corner Canyon High School || 2023 ||
Jaxon is a serviceable PG that gets it done. He has strength and he does a little bit of everything that helps his team really get going. Jackson finds open players and he gets things moving in the offense. The ball doesn’t stick with him a lot but he does make some high IQ decisions when the ball is in his hands. Could be a guard the NWAC schools really look at.
