With expanded roles comes the opportunity for higher rankings as many players saw as a result of their spots this year. Continue reading for a look at the new additions to the class of 2023 rankings update.
Ayson Mcluskie Ayson Mcluskie 6'3" | SF Genesis Prep Academy | 2023 State ID , Genesis Prep: Ayson is a really solid player who will look to help make an even bigger impact for Genesis Prep during the upcoming season. Mcluskie has great footwork in the paint and can handle the ball as well making him a very versatile player.
Ezra Godfrey Ezra Godfrey 6'0" | PG Marsh Valley | 2023 State ID , Highland: Ezra has a great feeling for the game and plays at a very high level every time he steps on the floor. Godfrey makes great decisions with the ball in his hands and he is constantly moving on offense to create flow for his teammates.
Nathan Shelton Nathan Shelton 6'0" | CG Clark Fork | 2023 State ID , Clark Fork: Shelton has been the backbone of a solid Clark Fork team for a while and he proved again that his consistency on the defensive end has been a great advantage that allows him to be really impactful during any and all games.
Krue Hales Krue Hales 6'1" | PG Pocatello | 2023 State ID , Pocatello: Krue has proven himself to be a great offensive player at Pocatello and will look to build on that for next year as well. Hales has a great jump shot and can easily drive into the paint for opportunities to finish at the rim, or drive and dish to the open teammate.
Jayden Wright Jayden Wright 6'6" | PF Highland | 2023 State ID , Highland: Wright showed big improvement this past season and also proved that he can stretch the defense by adding a very efficient three-ball to his game. Wright has all of the fundamentals in his back pocket and his senior season should be quite a good one.
Joey Specht Joey Specht 6'0" | CG Genesis Prep | 2023 State ID , Genesis Prep: Joey does a little bit of everything at Genesis Prep and he will look to fill an even more expanded role next season. Specht has a great feeling for the game and is very impactful on both ends of the court.
Greyson Sands Greyson Sands 6'0" | SG St. Maries | 2023 State ID , St. Maries: Sands is an excellent perimeter defender who can also play offense at a high rate. Greyson has been a huge key to making sure that the St. Maries offense runs efficiently and he is an excellent point guard as well.
Nolahn Anderson Nolahn Anderson 6'3" | CG Lakeland | 2023 State ID , Lakeland: Nolahn can play almost any position on the court and his ball-handling skills have improved quite tremendously to make him capable of bringing the ball up the court and directing the flow of the offense. Anderson will look to expand his role even more next season with some added responsibilities.
Tristun Hill Tristun Hill 6'6" | SF St. Maries | 2023 State ID , St. Maries: Tristun has done a great job of holding down the paint for St. Maries in recent years and his development and footwork have come along nicely. Hill can really be a great rim protector and will look to improve his offensive game as well next season.
Austin Lawrence, Lewiston: Lawrence did a great job of helping Lewiston in the paint this season and he has shown glimpses of his ability to stretch the floor and make other bigs guard him on the perimeter. His work this offseason can really pay dividends during his senior campaign.
