The Millwood Falcons captured their 16th state championship in school history by defeating Community Christian on Saturday. Freshman Chance Davis was the hero as he knocked down a 3-pointer as time expired to give the Falcons the win. Davis was without a doubt the MVP of the state title game with the game-winning shot, but the Class 4A state tourney was full of fantastic players and in this post, we take a look at the best of the best with our MVP and All Tournament selections!
Bai Jobe Bai Jobe 6'5" Community Christian | 2023 OK – 2023 Forward – Community Christian
The first of two Community Christian standouts to make the All Tourney team is junior standout Bai Jobe Bai Jobe 6'5" Community Christian | 2023 OK . Coming into the tournament, Jobe was Community’s leading scorer. He’s without a doubt one of the top football prospects in the state’s 2023 class and it’s easy to see why. Jobe is one of the more physically impressive athletes in the state.
Cade Bond – 2022 Guard – Community Christian
While Jobe was their leading scorer coming into the tournament, senior guard Cade Bond was the leading scorer throughout the tournament. The senior guard was one of the best shooters in the tournament and was lights out from beyond the arc over the three-day stretch in Oklahoma City. He was a big reason why they made it to the title game.
Jaden Nickens Jaden Nickens 6'3" | CG Douglass | 2025 State OK – 2025 Forward – Millwood (Most Valuable Player)
The MVP of the Class 3A state tournament comes from state champion Millwood as freshman forward Jaden Nickens Jaden Nickens 6'3" | CG Douglass | 2025 State OK showed why he’s already considered the top freshman in the state. He averaged nearly 16 points per game and was dominant throughout the tournament. In the state championship game, Nickens showcased his skills on offense and defense. Unfortunately for Nickens, he would foul out in the final minute of the game. He’s so explosive as an athlete but at the same time, he has nice touch on shooting the ball from a variety of spots on the floor.
Josiah Johnson – 2022 Forward – Marlow
Marlow fell one game shy of making it to the state championship game. The Outlaws were one of the best teams in Class 3A throughout the year but fell to eventual champion Millwood in the semifinals. Senior forward Josiah Johnson led the Outlaws in scoring in their two state tourney games with just over 20 points per game.
Luke Gray Luke Gray 6'7" | PF Oklahoma Christian | 2024 State OK – 2024 Forward – Oklahoma Christian School
Without a doubt one of the top players in the state tournament field was OCS sophomore forward Luke Gray Luke Gray 6'7" | PF Oklahoma Christian | 2024 State OK . The dynamic forward is a very athletic presence and is considered a top ten prospect right now. OCS was upset by Community Christian in the semifinals but despite the upset loss, Gray had an outstanding state tourney performance.
