Jamarkus was one of the most versatile and athletic guards in the senior class in the Birmingham area. He is a three-level scorer and absolutely explosive at the rim at times. He progressively got better throughout the season and raised his stock in many eyes.
He consistently played hard over the year and remained impactful on both ends of the floor.

How’s The Recruitment Going: Bevill State has been strongly recruiting J. He made an 18 on the ACT, and I will update his GPA in the next Alabama College Coaches Report.

Dresean was the 6’11 center that caused a lot of problems early in the season for teams as they were getting their rhythm and style of play solidified.
He was such a disruptive force in the paint, especially on the defensive end of the court.
He had some moments where there was a lull in his performance, and in those moments, teams went after him. However, the 6’11 center is still 6’11, which, as they say, cannot be taught, and in the right program at the next level, can continue to develop and become a solid player after a year or two in the program.

How’s The Recruitment Going: State College of Florida is heavy on D.

KT will be a rising senior next year, and we could be talking about him amongst the All-Birmingham 1st team this time next year. He is part of a dynamic backcourt that John Carroll will display next year. They will be one of the best backcourts in the state, if not the best.
KT is crafty with his takes to the hoops, can shoot the trey ball, and score it from the midrange.
Some say he is the 2nd option in the dynamic backcourt; in my opinion, there will be nights when KT will be the most dominant player on the floor. I will be keeping an eye on KT throughout the spring and summer with my view down the road at the start of what could be a fantastic year for John Carroll.
Christian Thompson (6’7/Center/2022)

Christian was a player that could have easily been named the most improved player in the Birmingham area. I have spoken to many in the basketball community, and many have opinions regarding 5th-year programs, but a 5th-year program could push Christian into a more enticing prospect.
Don’t get me wrong, he is a player that currently would bring a lot to a program as he is a hard worker and brings it night in and night out.
However, my eye test says he is a year away from us discussing him being on the first team in the Birmingham area.
On Tuesday, March 30, I spoke with C., and here’s…
How’s The Recruitment Going: He is committed to Birmingham Southern College.

Caleb is the lone sophomore amongst the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd team selections for the All-Birmingham team. He is a prolific scorer that gets it done at all levels. He can fill it up, and he can do it quickly. He is well on his way to becoming a 1,000 point scorer, as long as he stays healthy. Defensively he has quick hands, and he plays the passing lanes well.
Caleb is a skilled guard that is efficient in his production.
Thankfully we have two more years to witness just how much of a scoring machine he can become.
Stay tuned as we will take a closer look into the All-Birmingham 2nd Team.
