Below we take a deeper dive into those who stood out this past season and who will be primed for a big sophomore season:
Christian Maxon Christian Maxon 6'2" | CG Fort Pierce Central | 2025 State FL – Fort Pierce Central High School – Christian was the best 2025 player in the area hands down he averaged 14 points per game to go along with 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Christian is a consistent scorer who can light up the scoreboard from beyond the arc. Christian connected on 87 3’s this past season while shooting 49% which ranks him amongst the best in the state from a shooting perspective. Christian moves very well without the ball and has great ball handling skills. He knows how to get to his spots and does a great job coming off screens to quickly catch and shoot. Christian will be a name to follow this summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit.
CHRISTOPHER MAXON CHRISTOPHER MAXON 6'1" | PG Fort Pierce Central | 2024 FL – Fort Pierce Central High School – Christopher who is the twin brother of Christian also had a solid freshman season. Christopher averaged 7 points per game to go along with 2 rebounds and 2 assists. He is a consistent outside shooter connecting on 42% of his shots from beyond the arc. Christopher plays great defense and leaves it all on the floor every time he plays. He has solid basketball IQ and knows how to get it done on both ends of the court.
Josh Banate Josh Banate 6'0" | CG Fort Pierce Central | 2025 FL – Fort Pierce Central High School – Josh is one of the best defenders in the area and knows how to make an impact on the court. He averaged 5 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals per game this past season. Josh usually draws the toughest assignment on defense and is known as a lockdown defender. Josh has big upside to his overall game and will be a name to continue to monitor as his high school journey continues.
Aaron McFarlane – John Carroll High School – Aaron is a standout 2025 performer who will be a four year starter for this team. He contributed big plays and minutes this past season and was a big part of the Rams success. Aaron averaged 8 points per game to go along with 2 rebounds and 2 steals. He shot 36% from beyond the arc and 40% from the field overall. Aaron has a solid overall game and will continue to be a standout player for this team.
Alex McFarlane – John Carroll High School – Alex is a lengthy guard who uses his body well and knows how to get to the rim with ease. Alex averaged 4 points and 3 rebounds this season while getting big minutes for the Rams. Alex has a smooth overall style of play and shot 47% from the field while making big contributions throughout the season for the Rams. Alex will continue to grow and has big upside to his overall game. I expect a big sophomore season from him when next season tips off.
