Williams rose to the top of the 2024 rankings with a great freshman campaign. This year he’s playing a key role for the third-ranked team in 6A, a team with the experience and diversity to go far in the state playoffs. Williams is averaging 12.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.2. assists for the loaded Falcons.
Gavyn Phillips, 6-foot-5 center, 2024, Wichita West:
The Pioneers have had a tough season and are relying on a couple of young players to build for the future. Phillips is a long shot-blocking big man for the team to build around. He leads the Pioneers with 11.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Mikey Brand, 6-foot-3 forward, 2024, Carroll:
Brand is a long athlete who can shoot it. He gives the Golden Eagles a player to build around. Brand is averaging 10.5 points and 4.5 rebounds as an emerging sophomore.
Tesean Williams Tesean Williams 5'7" | PG Wichita Northwest | 2024 State KS 5-foot-7 guard, 2024, Wichita Northwest:
Williams is a explosive component of the highly-ranked Grizzlies. With a lot of good players around him, Williams doesn’t have to rack up big stats, but he’s a threat from deep and a lightning flash in the open court. Williams is producing 9.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists for the eighth-ranked 6A team.
