#22 – Egan Shields Egan Shields 6'10" | C Colorado Prep | 2023 CO , Ashland
The 6-foot-10 big man first came on our radar this summer when he was playing with members of the South Medford squad in fall league. He’s got a rugged frame with broad shoulders, finishes strong in the paint but can also face up and hit shots out to three-point range. His best basketball is definitely ahead of him.
#27 – Amare Rolle Amare Rolle 6'4" | SF Westview | 2023 State OR , Westview
The fact that Rolle was missing the first time around was a complete oversight. The 6-foot-4 wing is long, athletic, can finish at the rim but also has the ability to get hot from three-point range. He was one of Westview’s top players this season.
#43 – Adam Temesgen Adam Temesgen 6'1" | PG Crescent Valley | 2023 State OR , Crescent Valley
Our first viewing of Temesgen came during the Capitol City Classic back in December. The 6-foot-1 combo is a good athlete, shifty with the basketball, and capable of hitting threes. He’s been a great secondary offensive option behind senior star Noah Dewey Noah Dewey 6'6" | SF Crescent Valley | 2022 State OR this year.
#49 – Spencer Karsseboom Spencer Karsseboom 6'3" | CG Woodburn | 2023 State OR , Woodburn
Karsseboom has been one of the top offensive threats for Woodburn. The 6-foot-4 wing has a strong body and excels with his long-range shooting with a rainbow arc that rivals anyone we’ve ever seen. His size has allowed him to be helpful on the boards as well.
#52 – Matthew Verkamp Matthew Verkamp 6'4" | SF Sherwood | 2023 State OR , Sherwood
Verkamp has solid size and athleticism at 6-foot-4 and while he’s asked to play big for Sherwood his future will be on the wing. He shoots it well, has the body to absorb contact on drives to the hoop, and is tough defensively.
#54 – CJ Borin CJ Borin 6'4" | SF Nelson | 2023 State OR , Nelson
Borin is a unique player for his size and strength. Well-built at 6-foot-4, he looks like he could be an offensive lineman but he moves extremely well and is skilled with the basketball. We were impressed with his interior passing in the Nelson action we saw this season.
#55 – Parker Harrison Parker Harrison 6'3" | SG Clackamas | 2023 State OR , Nelson
A good all-around athlete, Harrison was Nelson’s top scorer this season. He’s got good size at 6-foot-3 on the wing and is just as capable of converting on drives to the hoop as he is catching and shooting the ball.
#58 – Parker Poetsch Parker Poetsch 6'0" | PG Nelson | 2023 State OR , Centennial
Poetsch was among 6A’s leading scorers until a kneecap injury sidelined him about 2/3 of the way of the year. The 6-foot guard is a shifty scorer and the son of Centennial head coach John Poetsch, obviously has a good knowledge of the game.
#60 – Tabor Van Deusen Tabor Van Deusen 6'5" | PF Benson | 2023 State OR , Grant
Grant went big this seaosn and Van Deusen was one of the guys that got some minutes. The 6-foot-5 junior is built like a lineman but has a soft touch on his shot inside.
#61 – Cade Collins Cade Collins 6'4" | SG Jesuit | 2023 State OR , Jesuit
Collins was a real find for Jesuit this season. The all-around 6-foot-3 swingman can play multiple positions on both ends of the floor and is the prototypical Jesuit player in that he shoots it well, plays good team ball, and works hard on defense.
