#19 Kyrese Mullen Kyrese Mullen 6'6" | PF Massanutten | 2022 State VA | 6’6” PF | Massanutten (Previous Rank: #32)
Mullen has been on the radar for the past few years, but he’s steadily improved and took a big leap in this rankings as he has solidified himself as a division one recruit with a versatile skill set. Despite being a little on the short side, he’s a bully in the post with good strength and finishing ability, he has improved in his ability to step out and knock down shots and he is a productive player who is a walking double-double.
#25 Matthew Gray Matthew Gray 6'7" | SF Flint Hill | 2022 State VA | 6’5” WF | Flint Hill (Previous Rank: #63)
Gray took the biggest leap in this rankings, as the 6’5” wing has shown terrific long term potential as he continues to develop and simply can do things others on the floor can’t do. He’s an elite athlete who thrives in transition and when slashing to the rim, he plays with a good motor on both ends of the floor and has a ton of potential on the defensive end and as he continues to improve his shooting he’ll be a force in a few years in college.
#44 Gray Proffitt Gray Proffitt 6'5" | CG Douglas Freeman | 2022 State VA | 6’5” CG | Douglas Freeman (Previous Rank: #68)
Proffitt has steadily moved up the rankings, as he went from a pretty much unknown player a few years ago to one of the most consistent and intriguing guards in the Richmond area over the past few years. At his size, he has great fundamentals and an all-around skill set that includes the ability to create for himself and others off the bounce, he can see over the defense and deliver excellent passes and he just knows how to play the right way and makes good decisions and the right play consistently.
#45 Greg Williams Greg Williams 6'4" | SF VA Academy | 2022 State VA | 6’4” SF | VA Academy (Previous Rank: #62)
Williams is another player who has consistently gotten better and been productive over the past few years, and the rankings show his continued development and production that should translate to the next level. The 6’4” guard has good length and good athleticism that he uses on the defensive end and in transition, he can stick it from deep off the catch and on the move and he’s a solid secondary ball handler who can make plays, especially in transition.
#48 Devin Walker | 6’0” PG | Blue Ridge (Previous Rank: #70)
Walker has waited his turn playing behind multiple division one and college guards at Blue Ridge, and this summer he showed flashes that he was up next and he has continued that success this season with the Barons who are favored to win a fourth straight state championship. He’s a competitor who brings it on both ends and steps up against big time matchups, he has good shift off the bounce and gets in the lane where he can score it and make plays for others and he’s a knock down shooter from deep both off the catch and off the bounce.
