25) John Loughlin John Loughlin 6'1" | CG Episcopal | 2022 State VA | 6’1” | Episcopal (#76 Overall)
The Washington & Lee commit has been huge for an Episcopal team who was supposed to be going through a rebuilding phase, but have had a surprisingly good season behind the play of the senior point guard, Loughlin has always been known as a knock down shooter but has really improved and changed his game to be able to handle the basketball and run the show, make plays for others and he can still score it when he needs to.
24) Kenny Page Kenny Page 5'9" | PG Kecoughtan | 2022 State VA | 5’9” | Kecoughtan (#75 Overall)
Page has really come on in the last few years to emerge from the shadows of some other talented guards on his Kecoughtan team, and he’s shown he’s one of the most dynamic scoring guards in the Peninsula District. Despite his size he has great length and and good hang time and body control as a finisher around the rim, he can stick it from deep when he’s left open and he has a very quick first step and can get in the lane and make plays easily.
23) Keishawn Pulley Keishawn Pulley 6'2" | CG St. Christopher's School | 2022 State VA | 6’2” | St. Christopher’s (#74 Overall)
Pulley is the type of player you love as a scout as I’ve watched him develop over the past few years after being thrown in the fire as a freshman, as he went from a shooting specialist of a guard to an all-around combo that can do a little bit of everything. He has good size and long arms for his position, he can get in the lane and finish or make plays for others and he’s still a knock down shooter from deep who will burn you if you leave him open or go under a screen.
22) Ashton Pratt Ashton Pratt 6'0" | CG Hayfield | 2022 State VA | 6’2” | Hayfield (#72 Overall)
Pratt has been huge for Hayfield who is undefeated and a favorite to win the Class 6 state championship, and he’s starting to garner some college attention with his play. He’s a strong guard who can play on or off the basketball and knows how to create for himself and others, he can get hot and knock down shots from deep and score it in bunches and he’s a go-getter who will do whatever it takes to help his team win.
21) Kyle Honore Kyle Honore 5'10" | PG Potomac | 2022 State VA | 5’10” | Potomac (#69 Overall)
Honore has proved time and time again he’s one of the best point guards in NOVA over the past few years, leading Potomac to a state semifinal appearance last year and having a player of the year worthy season this year. He’s a natural point guard who has great leadership qualities and feel for the game, he can make plays for himself and others and is very crafty off the bounce and he just simply makes winning plays when he’s on the floor.
20) Leroy Hamilton Leroy Hamilton 6'2" | PG Oscar Smith | 2022 State VA | 6’2” | Oscar Smith (#67 Overall)
Hamilton is a late bloomer who has had a terrific senior season for Smith, and he’s the type of guy who could both benefit from another year at a post grad and/or could be a steal at the next level for whatever school takes a chance on him. He’s a natural scoring combo guard who can get wherever he wants off the bounce and makes tough shots from multiple levels, he gets hot quickly and can score it in bunches and while he’s a scorer he still isn’t selfish and gets others involved as well.
19) Quanye Veney Quanye Veney 6'0" | CG Highland Springs | 2022 State VA | 6’0” | Highland Springs (#65 Overall)
While Veney is known more for his football talents, he’s a player who is an absolute game changer on the basketball court too and his talent is just too much to not put into the rankings. He’s a two way impact guy who sets the tone on both ends of the floor and is one of the best on ball defenders in the state, he gets in the lane and makes plays for others and has great quickness and end-to-end speed and he is lightning in a bottle with the ball in his hands.
18) Elijah White Elijah White 5'11" | PG Kempsville | 2022 State VA | 5’10” | Kempsville (#64 Overall)
White has had a huge season and has helped turn Kempsville into a contender in the Beach District and in the region, and one of the best things about him is that the bigger the game or the matchup is the better he seems to always play. He’s a gamer who brings it every day and is a very hard worker, he’s smooth off the bounce with a good handle and knows how to create space and he can both score it and facilitate as well as being a good rebounder for his size and position as well.
17) Ihsan Duncan Ihsan Duncan 6'3" | CG Hampton | 2022 State VA | 6’3” | Hampton (#60 Overall)
Duncan, who decided to stay home and committed to Hampton University as a junior, is a unique player with good size and a lot of things he can do on the floor. He handles the ball well and changes speeds and directions with ease, he can get to spots and make shots from multiple levels and is a very good finisher at the rim and he has good feel and instincts with the ball in his hands as a playmaker.
16) George Cutler IV George Cutler IV 6'1" | PG Cape Henry Collegiate | 2022 State VA | 6’1” | Cape Henry (#54 Overall)
Cutler has been one of the top point guards in the 757 over the past few years, but this season he’s really stepped up as a leader and showed good improvement in a number of areas as well. He’s as shifty as they come as he has a very tight handle and uses change of speeds and hesitations well, he has natural vision and playmaking ability and he can score it off the bounce well from the midrange and at the rim while also improving in his jumper from deep as well.
