15) Marquis Dunklin Marquis Dunklin 6'0" | CG Bishop Ireton | 2022 State VA | 6’0” | Bishop Ireton (#52 Overall)
Dunklin is the type of guy who may not put up the same numbers as a lot of people on this list, but he’s a true floor general that helps make his teammates better and makes excellent decisions on both ends of the floor. He has great command of the game and is excellent in his decision making in pick-and-rolls and when he gets in the lane, he can knock down shots from deep and on the pull-up and he is a very good defender both on and off the ball.

Auburn | 2022
State
VA
| 6’0” | Auburn (#49 Overall)
Millirons was the 2020 Class 1 Player of the Year and recently broke the Auburn career scoring record, and he’s one of the most skilled guards you’ll come across. Committed to St. Thomas Acquinas (D2 NY), Millirons is a floor general who is excellent in pick-and-rolls, he’s strong with the ball and can create space and knock down contested shots in the midrange and finish at the rim and he’s a knock down shooter from deep both off the catch and off the bounce too.
13) Devin Walker | 6’0” | Blue Ridge (#48 Overall)
Walker had to wait his turn at Blue Ridge, but between this summer and during his senior season he’s proved that he’s one of the top guards in the state and has Blue Ridge sitting nicely to win a fourth straight state championship. He’s a competitor at the PG position who leads by example and brings it on both ends, he can knock down shots from deep and in the midrange and he can create for himself and others off the bounce.
12)
Walker Andrews

Andrews

Virginia Episcopal | 2022
State
VA
| 6’0” | Virginia Episcopal School (#46 Overall)
Andrews has been one of the top scorers in the state his senior year and he recently broke the VES scoring record in just three seasons there, and he the simplest way to describe his game is just as a bucket getter. At 6’0” he can play on or off the basketball and has great confidence in his scoring ability, he has deep range and can get hot quickly and fill it up in bunches and he brings it on the defensive end with his all-out hustle style too.
11) Gray Proffitt Gray Proffitt 6'5" | CG Douglas Freeman | 2022 State VA | 6’5” | Douglas Freeman (#44 Overall)
Proffitt was recently named to the First Team All Region and has been one of the most improved and consistent players in the Richmond area since the summer. At 6’5” he has great positional size and uses that size to defend and rebound as well as see over top of defenders and make good passes to his teammates, he has the ability to score it from all three levels off the bounce and is efficient and he’s very fundamentally sound with very few holes in his game to go along with his good size and athleticism.

Garrett Brennan

Brennan
6'3" | CG
St. Stephens & St. Agnes | 2022
State
VA
| 6’3” | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes (#42 Overall)

Brennan is another one of those players who can do a little bit of everything and simply makes his team better with all the things he can do on the court. He can play both guard positions and can move to the wing if he team needs him to, he’s a good shooter from deep and has a good IQ when playing on the ball and defensively he makes plays both on and off the basketball.

Gregory

Steward School | 2022
State
VA
| 6’4” | Steward School (#33 Overall)
Gregory is a name who came on the radar last year as a transfer to the Richmond area from Maryland, and his continued improvement parlayed him into a division one player and he recently committed to St. Francis (PA). A long combo guard with good athleticism, he’s smooth off the bounce and makes great decisions in transition, he can get hot quickly and scores it from multiple levels and has the ability to make contested shots and he’s a competitor who ups his game against top competition.

Sunderland

Flint Hill | 2022
State
VA
| 6’2” | Flint Hill (#22 Overall)
Another absolute bucket getter, Sunderland is the type of player who can go for 30 on any given night and knows how to score and create for others with the ball in his hands. He’s a knock down shooter from deep when guys go under screens and when he’s off the ball, he can push in transition and finish at the rim and has a good midrange game and he’s able to make plays for others too after he gets it going and the defense starts to focus on him.
7)
Xavier Brown
Xavier
Brown
6'2" | PG
Jamestown | 2022
State
VA
| 6’2” | Jamestown (#21 Overall)
Brown came back to Jamestown from Oak Hill and has been absolutely fantastic for the Eagles this season as one of VA’s top scorers and playmakers. He’s an athletic guard who is quick twitch and has good burst with the ball in his hands, he can get in the paint at will where he makes good decisions for his teammates and can score it above the rim and through traffic and he competes hard on both ends as a good rebounding guard and a big time defender as well.
6)
DeJuan Campbell
DeJuan
Campbell
6'1" | PG
Kecoughtan | 2022
State
VA
| 6’1” | Kecoughtan (#20 Overall)
There may not be any guard in VA over the past four years that has been more consistent than Campbell, as the Western Carolina commit has not only been one of the top scorers in the 757 over the past few years but also has shown that he can run the show and run a winning program too. He’s a strong guard with good shift and is an underrated athlete who can make plays on both ends, he’s an assassin in the midrange area and he makes his team better in a number of different ways.
