#1 Kings Park vs #4 Hauppauge
#2 Deer Park vs #3 Wyandanch
For Kings Park to win
MVP Matt Garside unsung Jon Borkowski Jon Borkowski 5'11" | PG Kings Park | 2022 State NY
Matt a junior guard can flat out score the ball. He is an excellent shooter. Has deep range. Teams have tried a lot of different defenses to stop the Kings Park team so far it has not worked. Matt has displayed the ability to not only score off the catch but can create for himself and teamates. He and Jon comprised a potent one two attack. Jon is not flashy he is a solid pg. Does not turn it over. Can drain the three and also scores in transition. He is steady and composed with the ball in his hands. Tremendous on the ball defender will be up against a couple of tremendous guards if the anticipated match up against Deer Park materializes.
Hauppauge to win
MVP Macai John Macai John 6'2" | SG Hauppauge | 2022 State NY unsung Kevin Zembrzycki
Macai burst onto the season with an impressive summer. He is a defensive presence in the middle. He changes the game defensively in the paint more then probably anyone in Suffolk. Scores around the rim. Really good with the old school three point play. Kevin Is the perfect compliment to Macai. Kevin is a excellent shooter from beyond the arc. Gets off his own shot or coming off a screen. He will be called upon in the semi and final to match the guard play from the other teams.
Deer Park to win
MVP Preston Edmead Preston Edmead 5'9" | PG Deer Park | 2024 #226 Nation NY unsung Nate Gordon
If you haven’t seen Preston play yet you really need to see him. A varsity player since the eight grade he is exceptional in every part of his game. Lightning quick getting into the paint with great vision. The offense goes has he goes not only because he can score he makes everybody better. Excellent range, does not force shots. Plays within the system he just excels at it. Has developed a scoop shot using his body control to get off shots driving to the basket. Nate might be the best pure shooter in the program. Lights out off the catch with a quick release. Does an outstanding job on the boards.
For Wyandanch to win
MVP Deandre Smith unsung Jon Rejouis
Deandre averaged 15 ppg. He does it inside but adds to that total with the ability to draw fouls and convert his free throws. Wyandanch has a very balanced scoring attack. Any night somebody else might lead them in scoring. Jon Rejouis might not lead them in scoring but his ability to guard is a big part for Wyandanch to be successful. Especially in these two playoff games. Tremendous guard play will be at the forefront of Wyandanch’s opponents offense. Jon will probably be called upon to guard some of the top best guards on the Island in these playoffs.
