The Penn State commit was dynamic for Massanutten in both of their wins over Speights Academy and Winston-Salem Christian, and he could make the case for the best PG in VA for the 2022 class. The lefty is dynamic off the bounce with a good handle and change of speeds with hesitations and moves to get in the lane, he can score it off the bounce from all three levels efficiently and he has a flair to his game that makes him exciting to watch. Mullen is one of the best available bigs in the state, and he showed both his dominance and improved versatility this weekend. At 6’6” he may be a little short at the four spot but he’s very strong and will bully bigs in the paint to create space to finish and to rebound, he has improved in his explosion and finishing ability above the rim and he can step out and knock down shots from deep as well. He finished with 17 points and 16 rebounds in their win over Winston-Salem Christian.
Luke Triggs | 6’6” PF | Massanutten 2022
Triggs continues to impress as one of the most slept on available guys in the state, as the 6’6” forward has improved in a number of ways and continues to be a consistent threat in a number of ways. He’s an assassin in the midrange as he can play at the elbows and make tough fall aways, he’s more explosive and has filled out his upper body and he’s versatile defensively as he can guard wings and bigs both. He finished with 14 points and 5 rebounds in their win over Winston-Salem Christian.
Troy McKoy | 6’3” WG | Massanutten 2023
The only player on Massanutten listed as a 2023, McKoy is a big wing who has a great skill set and is a versatile player on the offensive end. The 6’2” guard has good size and is creative off the bounce and can touch the paint well, he is a tough shot maker from multiple levels and is a strong finisher at the rim and he can make plays for others. He’s also a stout defender who can stay in front and sets the tone on both ends of the floor.
