What is it like playing for your club team?
Everyone on the team works hard and we always have each other’s back. We have built a strong bond on and off the court.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Kyrie Irving because I love how he can create shots off the dribble and how crafty he is.
Are there any other sports that you play?
I have played football and baseball, but right now I am only playing basketball.
What are somethings you’re currently working on when it comes to your game?
Right now, I am working on getting downhill off the dribble and making quicker decisions.
Do you have a dream college you’d like to go to?
I would love to play at the University of Texas (Austin).
Who do you model your game after?
I model my game after Kyrie just because of how shifty he is and how he can get his teammates involved, while also getting his own buckets. I have learned so many moves from watching his games and highlights.
How would you describe your game or style of play?
I would say I am a shifty guard who can knock down shots from anywhere, while also getting my teammates involved. I would also say I can handle pressure well and I have good leadership skills.
Is there any basketball players in the family?
No, there isn’t.
Who got you into basketball and how long have you been playing competitively?
I played Rec Center Basketball when I was super young, but my current AAU coach, PD, got me into competitive basketball when I was 8.
What did you learn from your weekend at the Prep Hoops Next West Coast Kick-Off this past weekend?
I learned to be more confident shooting deep threes after having a couple great shooting performances.
Overall
Quincy can shoot the ball, when he learns how to hunt for shots and keep moving and finding angles he will increase his shooting production. Quincy has a great all-around game that will continue to develop as he puts in a lot of work.
