With our final rankings update for 2022, we had a lot of movement throughout the class and finished at 140 ranked players for 2022. Here’s a look at some of the biggest movers with this final update.
Jabrion Spikes Jabrion Spikes 6'1" | SG Caldwell County | 2022 State KY , Caldwell County (87–>38) – Caldwell’s super Senior has had a huge season and earned the 2nd region player of the year award last week. Spikes had a 59 point outburst last week and has drawn college interest from all over the scholarship and D3 levels. Whichever school lands Jabrion will get a talented combo guard who can fill up the stat sheet in a hurry.
Alandre Murphy Alandre Murphy 6'3" | SF Elizabethtown | 2022 State KY , Elizabethtown (103–>41) – Alandre is a super Senior who has made the most out of his bonus season and showed he can play point guard at the next level. Murphy is a shifty point who has great length and has shown he can guard multiple positions when switching on defense. He should have multiple opportunities to play at the next level.
Brady Dingess Brady Dingess 5'11" | PG Martin County | 2022 State KY , Martin County (94–>42) – Dingess has had a good Senior season to cap off a career that has seen over 2,000 points scored for Martin County. Brady has been one of the most consistent scoring guards in the mountains over his career and should have multiple options to continue his career in college basketball next season.
Aziel Blackwell Aziel Blackwell 6'2" | CG Henry Clay | 2022 State KY , Henry Clay (136–>44) – Another super Senior who has had a great Senior season, Blackwell has broken out for the Blue Devils and been on the short list of most impactful players in the 11th region all season long. With his length and feel for the game, he’s a player that schools should be targeting before signing day this Spring.
Mekhi Smith Mekhi Smith 5'10" | PG Saint Xavier | 2022 State KY , Saint Xavier (80–>47) – Mekhi had the most impressive performance I was in the gym for this season when he dropped 39 on Trinity and helped the Tigers to a big win. Mekhi is a big time two sport athlete who is worthy of a scholarship in both football and basketball. Smith is quick and able to change pace and direction with the best guards in the city of Louisville.
