Alex Penders, Foxborough, HT 6’5, Position F, Class 2023
Alex is averaging a double this season. He has had many standout performances, but one recently really standouts, against Oliver Ames. Alex had a huge stat line with 30 points, and 24 rebounds. Alex is an athletic playmaker, and someone who can be a dominate player in the paint. In the game against Oliver Ames, Alex was very efficient scoring, and every shot he missed, it felt like he would get his own rebound. Alex also has the ability to stretch the floor as well.
Ryan Higgins, Catholic Memorial, Position SG, Class 2024
Ryan is a high level three point shooter. In a recent game against Newton South, he finished with 4 three pointers, and 24 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Ryan made some tough shots, with high pressure from the defense. Something I liked, was that Ryan didn’t use a lot of dribbles to score. He was always ready to shoot, and was able to quickly get his shot off. Ryan moves well without the ball, cuts hard, and gets to his spots quickly. Ryan is only a sophomore and should be in for a big junior season.
Isaac Chiu, Wellesley, Class 2023, Position PG/SG
Isaac’s numbers might not wow you at first sight, but if you watch him play you will see how he impacts the game in many ways. In a recent game against Weston he has 12 points, 7 assists, and three rebounds. Isaac is a hard working player, who does what ever is best for the team. Isaac is a tough defender, and always looking to take a charge. Issac on offense is a pass first player, and likes gets his teammates involved. Issac does have the ability to score, but would turn down a good shot, for a great shot.
Ryan Foster, Beverly, Class 2024, Position F, HT 6’5
Ryan is a player with a lot of upside, and potential to his game. In a recent game against Lynn English he had 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks. Ryan has a versatile skill set, and showed that in this game. He can stretch the floor, and shoot the three, and also has a good inside game. Ryan is a good paint protector on defense.
Craig Rubino, North Reading, Position G, Class 2023
Craig is an aggressive, and strong built player. Although he may not be the tallest on the floor, he still rebounds the ball very well. In a recent game against Wilmington he had a double double, with 19 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Craig is good at finishing with contact, and in the game he had two and one finishes.
