We comb through prospects from every corner of the state to make sure we provide the most thorough coverage possible. This will be part one of a two part “new names” series that will highlight some of the top prospects to break into our Top 150 in the Class of 2023 that were not in our database previously. Let’s dive right in.
Ahmere Carson Ahmere Carson 6'2" | PG Anderson | 2023 State IN (Anderson H.S.)
Carson has burst onto the scene this season averaging 20 points per game to go along with 4.8 assists for the 19-4 Anderson Indians. The 6’2″ point guard is one of the top under-the-radar prospects in the state. He made his debut at #48 in our Class of 2023 rankings.
Josten Carter Josten Carter 6'4" | SF New Albany | 2023 State IN (New Albany H.S.)
This 6’3″ wing is one of the most special athletes in southern Indiana. He is explosive off of the dribble and is an above-the-rim finisher at the end of his drives. Carter will be one for college coaches to keep an eye on over the summer. Broke into our rankings as the #58 overall prospect.
Garwey Dual Garwey Dual 6'5" | PG Carmel | 2023 #113 Nation (Carmel H.S.)
Dual moved into Carmel this season as a relative unknown. However, he quickly made his mark in the Greyhounds rotation as a long, athletic wing and has since earned an offer from Marian. The 6’4″ prospect should see his stock continue to rise over the summer. Now ranked #49 in the junior class.
Brycen Hannah Brycen Hannah 6'5" | PF John Glenn | 2023 State IN (John Glenn H.S.)
John Glenn High School has had a fantastic season currently sitting at 21-1. The primary reason for that has been 6’5″ forward Brycen Hannah Brycen Hannah 6'5" | PF John Glenn | 2023 State IN . The strong, skilled junior is putting up 17.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for the Falcons. He is now ranked #81 in the Class of 2023 rankings.
Kamari Jones Kamari Jones 6'4" | SG Lawrence Centra (IN) / Hilcrest Prep (AZ) | 2023 IN (Lawrence Central H.S.)
I have been extremely high on Jones for most of the season. He is an elite shooter in a class with a ton of shooter, has great size on the wing at 6’3″-6’4″ and is more athletic than a lot of the guys that shoot it as well as he does. Averaging 14.7 points on 37% 3-point shooting. Ranked as the #37 prospect in the class.
Gavin Wisley Gavin Wisley 6'8" | PF Bloomington South | 2023 State IN (Bloomington H.S. South)
Tall, long, 6’8″ forward with a ton of upside. Wisley has shown off nice offensive skill this season both with his back to the basket and stepping out to the 15-foot range. He rebounds the well in his area and impacts shots as a post defender/rim protector. Very projectable prospect to keep tabs on. Now ranked #73 in the class.
