Shawn continues to have a stellar senior campaign, he is scoring at all three levels efficiently and effectively. I am blown away with how much his shooting mechanics and consistency have improved since his sophomore season. He is a real weapon to score off the bounce from the midrange or beyond the arc. His handle is much tighter, and is comfortable looking for his shot at all three levels of the floor now. I have not even mentioned his freak athleticism that allows him to fly to the rim and finish over anyone, or suck the air out of the gym with a nasty jam. He has the athletic tools coaches dream about, and has the ability to make all of the jaw dropping plays on both sides of the floor. He is fearless when attacking the basket and dares you to leap with him at the rim, on offense or on defense! Expect Jones to transition with ease over to the next level, as he is committed to attending Texas State next year.

Camron has been lighting it up for Shadow Creek and is a real one two punch with Shawn Jones. Amboree has the ability to fill up the stat sheet from beyond the arc. Amboree recently set the Shadow Creek High School record for 46 points in a game to go along with 9 (!!!) three pointers made. He is very comfortable getting to his own shot off the dribble, even from deep NBA level range. It has been a real pleasure watching him pick apart defenses with the threat of his scoring ability. However, his ability to control the game and play at his own speed is what truly makes him special, he never seems sped up or rushed into bad looks. He consistently makes the right reads and is always directing traffic and helping out the young talent Shadow Creek has coming up behind him. Watching him run in transition might be the best part of his game, he is a bully when committing to getting to the rim and will finish over anyone he has to with the right touch. Look for him to be lighting it up at Oral Roberts University next year!
Chase Cain Chase Cain 6'7" | PF Shadow Creek | 2023 State TX 6’6 2023 Shadow Creek High School
Chase is an incredibly lanky and long athlete whose size seemed to fill up the paint and affect opponents on both sides of the floor. He moves very well for his size and showed a real ability to stay in front of quicker guards and hold his own against larger forwards looking to bang down low. He came out and blocked jump shots and turned away shots down low with ease. He ran the floor well and dove without the ball to give his guards an open target to fire passes in down low, which he turned into easy bunny hooks over pretty much anyone. He needs more post moves besides his simple hooks, but he has time and when he does, he will begin to dominate on both sides of the floor. I also believe he needs to focus on the outside in aspect to his game, and work on his pull up jumper as well as his handle and ability to get to the rim.

2023 6’6 Dickinson High School
Zyon is a monster in the paint who thrives at scoring through contact and tough defense. He is a dominant force with his back to he basket, and can destroy his matchup out of the high post as well. He can size up and bully his way through his defender to the rim. He is great on the glass and made smart outlet passes to jump start the break. His athleticism allows him to wreak havoc on both ends of the floor and take on anyone he wants to in the air. He is a solid rim protector but shares the front court with another strong post presence. Look for him to have a break out year next year when he gets a bit more space to work in the paint, but they have a real shot to make it far in the post season as well. Little is a special player with all the tools to become a high level defending wing/ forward at the next level.
Jayson Caldwell – McGaskey 6’5 2022 Dickinson High School
Jayson is an athletic forward who thrives at shutting down the paint on the defensive end. He is fantastic at timing his leaps to contest shots at the rim, and makes his opponents think twice about attacking the basket. He came up with multiple big time blocks to seal a tournament victory. His athleticism and ability to jump multiple times in the air allowed him to out leap seemingly everyone for second chance opportunities. On the offensive end, he is patient and capable of playing alongside another ferocious forward who thrives in the paint. The other big ( Zyon Little Zyon Little 6'6" | SF Dickinson | 2023 State TX 2023) loves attacking with his back to the basket, and McGaskey is great at reading the situation and flashing to the high post or sneaking around his defender for an open look at the rim or sealing him off for a rebounding opportunity. I would like to see him work on putting the ball on the floor and attacking more in the open court.
Seth Jones Seth Jones 6'2" | PG Dickinson | 2022 State TX 2022 Dickinson High School
Seth is a freak athlete for the point guard position. He is great at using his quickness to get by defenders in the open court, and has a great handle to blow by defenders in the half court. He is a very patient player who is willing to play through his elite big men. I loved watching him dominate in the midrange, he was confident and wiling to take the shot after quickly turning the corner. It was fun watching his athleticism in warmups, you can tell he has springs attached to his feet. During the game he used it to sky for some athletic layups when he got downhill to attack the basket.
Clear Brook High School vs Dawson High School
Kemauri Millender Kemauri Millender 6'0" | PG Clear Brook | 2022 State TX 2022 6’1 Clear Brook High School
Kemauri is a sharpshooting point guard who thrives at scoring off the dribble. His lightning quick cross overs always seem to freeze his defender for just enough time for him to get a step on them and turn the corner to get downhill. His ability to draw the attention of the defense by his relentless pace and willingness to attack the basket really stood out. He is a reliable shooter from every spot on the floor, and is capable as acting as a spot up shooter or work on getting to his spots on his own. He has great awareness of finding his bigs for easy looks, especially operating off the pick and roll. Millender is one of the most impressive unsigned prospects I have seen at this stage in the game.
Tyree Davis 2022 6’7 Pearland Dawson High School
Tyree is an athletic slashing wing who thrives at absorbing contact and finishing at the rim. He is a reliable shooter when given time to spot up, he loves acting as the trailer on the break to open up the three point line for himself. I liked watching him work through being uncomfortable and still working to get up efficient looks all around the court. His slashing ability and his threat to score on the interior makes him a dynamic playmaker from the outside. He has great body control, paired with a strong confidence in his touch around the basket makes him a truly deadly weapon when coming downhill. His size and athleticism makes him a special player in transition where he thrives. It also helps him out tremendously on the defensive end of the floor, and he is not afraid to contest a shot at the rim screaming in from the back side. His size allows him to slide over and affect most shots at the rim.
Atascocita High School vs Deer Park High School
Kaleb Pouncy 2022 6’7 Atascocita High School
Kaleb is a lanky forward who is great at finishing at the rack, especially in transition. He dominates the game in the full court and really puts pressure on the defense with his ability to rebound the ball and score at the rim. He has great mobility and good ball control for his size, and looks like he has real potential to become a three level scoring big man or stretch wing. I would like to see continued development with his shot off the dribble. Pouncy is a special player who has all the tools to develop into a high level big man at the next level.
Connor Miller 6’3 2022 Atascocita High School
Connor is a sniper at the shooting guard position, who thrives off his ability to affect the game by getting open off the ball. His constant movement and his ability to always be ready to catch and shoot propelled his team to a shot at the championship. He is not only a shooter from beyond the arc however, he got to his shot in the midrange and attacked the basket hard. He is a dynamic scorer who loves getting to his shot off the bounce and creating looks for his team. I was most impressed with his ability to get his teammates involved as the defense began to focus on shutting down his shooting.

2023 Strake Jesuit High School
Jace is a special combo guard who can fill it up from all three levels. I was blown away by his aggressiveness and willingness to take over the game and attack the basket. When his team began to go down early in the second quarter, he single-handidly put the team on his back and changed the momentum in the game by getting a few big time dunks, And-1s and hitting tough shots in the midrange. Posey is a prospect to keep your eye on, especially as he continues to develop and have break out games like this one!
Drayton Jones 2023 6’7 Strake Jesuit High School
Drayton is a force on the interior who punishes anyone in his way. His ability to finish in the paint really stood out and is a big reason why his team has had so much success in the regular season. His consistency on the glass and on the defensive end of the floor really stood out. He is an aware rebounder who can box out his opponents with ease and sky for the high point on the ball. He is aggressive on the offensive end and wreaks havoc down low. His ability to consistently punish his defender on the block allows his team to always go to him for easy buckets. He moves without the basketball and is great at slipping the pick and roll when he feel space open up behind him. He threw down some thunderous dunks which helped bring his team back against a tough Shadow Creek team.
