Klein Collins High School vs Bridgeland High School
Chrisshon Harden Chrisshon Harden 5'8" Klein Collins | 2023 TX 2023 5’8 Klein Collins High School
Chrisshon is an impressive ball-handler who can break down defenders. He has a lightning-quick crossover and an ability to get by defenders in the half-court. I was impressed with his ability to finish in the paint on either side of the rim. His consistency and ability to live in the paint makes him a strong weapon for an undersized guard. I would like to see him work on keeping his head up as he breaks down defenses and forces them to collapse or react.
Keddric Mays 2022 6’2 Bridgeland High School
Keddric is an aggressive playmaker who loves having the ball in his hands to turn the corner and get downhill.
Mays was putting in work with his quick handles and strong and aggressive demeanor. He was fearlessly attacking the basket and fighting through contact to get tough layups to fall every time down the court, highlighted by a strong layup through traffic in the 2nd quarter. He also pulled off a quick and aggressive spin layup in the 2nd, drawing the foul and sending him to the line for two. He managed to hit a 3-point shot in the 2nd, as well, but most of his work was done on his drives to the paint.
College Park High School vs Eisenhower High School
Martez James Martez James 6'5" | SF College Park | 2024 State TX 2024 6’4 College Park High School
Martez is an impressive wing at the wing position and is a switchable defender who can easily guard positions 1-4. With his ability to protect the paint and force his opponents to be uncomfortable, he dominates smaller defenders and has the strength and length to defend larger forwards. He comes up with a plethora of blocks and steals to help jumpstart his team on the other end. He is a consistent scorer in the paint for his age and looks to be an interesting prospect to watch as he grows and goes throw this playoff run. I would like to see him work on his ability on to dominate with a live dribble and work on his game in transition. With his size and agility he can easily become a force to be reckoned with on the break.
Isaiah Major Perez 2022 6’5 College Park High School
Isaiah is an agile wing who is forced to take on a big man role with College Park. His consistency in the paint and ability to turn away shots allows his guards to be more aggressive on the ball. The rim protection he brings to his team is very impressive for his undersized body, taking on other bigs. He works hard on the glass on both ends of the floor and creates opportunities by taking the other bigs out of the picture. I would like to see him work on creating with a live dribble and getting downhill.
Keylon Dorsey 2023 6’4 Eisenhower High School
Keylon is a sharp shooting combo guard who can score in a variety of ways. His ability to get his shot off from a live dribble was very impressive and he even managed to knock down a few step back three pointers. His ability to create enough space to get his shot off at all three levels was impressive. He is a reliable floor spacer when given time to catch and shoot. His knock down shot ability allows his team to feed off of his scoring ability. He possesses great athleticism and can throw down some emphatic dunks on the break. I would like to see him create more for his teammates and work on keeping his head up as he gets downhill in the half court offense.
Klein High School vs Langham Creek High School
Isaiah Brooks Isaiah Brooks 6'6" | SF Klein | 2024 TX 2024 6’6 Klein High School
Isaiah is the definition of an hustle player with his energy, aggressiveness and motor all on full display. His willingness to do anything to help his team win is very impressive, he protects the rim, dives on the floor for loose balls and plays high level defense on quicker guards. His consistency and ability to finish around the rim really stood out. His aggressiveness is a real factor in this. He is not afraid to go through or over his defender to get to his spot in the paint. With his energy, willingness to do all of the dirty work, and run the floor Langham Creek will have to have a stout game plan to defend him.
Antonie Carter 2023 6’6 Langham Creek High School
Antonie is a sharp shooting wing who is great at dominating at all three levels on the floor. His ability to space the floor and knock down shots beyond the arc is a real weapon for him and his team. He is able to consistently shoot over the top of guards with his long arms and high release point on his jumper. He draws a tremendous amount of pressure when he has the ball and knows when to fire the right pass out to his shooters. He always seems to have his head up making the right play. Carter is a special player that everyone has to keep their eye on, especially if Langham Creek can get past Klein High School.
