Calvin Sirmans – Lake Worth High School – This young man is one of the best guards I have seen play this season. Although 5’7 he plays like he is much bigger as he is always in attack mode and is a strong finisher at the rim. He plays hard on defense which leads to easy steals and buckets in transition. Calvin is currently averaging 10 points per game to go along with 6 assists per game. Calvin is a big reason why his Lake Worth squad is currently 8-2 and one of the best teams in the area. Calvin is one of the most physical guards I have seen play and I am excited to see what he will do the rest of the season.
Ty Owens – Centennial High School St Lucie West – Ty is leading his team in scoring and a 9-3 record thus far while enjoying a breakout junior season. This combo guard is getting it done on both ends of the court averaging over 17 points per game while shooting 45% from behind the arc. Ty has a quick first step and can get going from behind the 3 point line. Ty is also one of the best free throw shooters in the area as well so putting him on the line is not a good idea. Ty is also one of the better defenders in the area and does a nice job scoring in transition.
Gavin Aydelotte Gavin Aydelotte 6'11" | C Benjamin | 2023 State FL – Benjamin High School – 6’10 Gavin is having another solid season leading his team to a 7-2 start thus far this season. Gavin is averaging 16 points and 7 rebounds per game while shooting 53% from the field. Gavin has one of the better mid-range shots I have seen for his size and has improved his footwork making him tough to stop around the basket. I expect Gavin’s recruiting to pick up during the second half of the season and as he heads into travel ball in the summer. Gavin is a top performing student athlete on and off the court and the type of player you want on your radar.
Darious Moore Darious Moore 5'11" | PG Morningside | 2023 FL – Morningside Academy – DJ is averaging 14 points per game while shooting 56% from three point land which puts him in the Top 10 for all guards in shooting percentage. DJ has been a big reason why Morningside Academy is off to a 9-0 start which is the best start in school history. DJ can get hot in a hurry and plays with a ton of energy on the floor. DJ knows how to move well without the ball to get open and does a great job finding his teammates in transition. DJ is already receiving some college interest and I am excited to see what he can do the rest of the season. This young man puts in a ton of work and it shows on the court.
