Shawn Jones Jr Shawn Jones Jr 6'6" | SF Shadow Creek | 2022 State TX 2022 6’6 Shadow Creek High School
Shawn is an explosive athlete who has all of the physical tools to be dominant at the next level. His athleticism paired with his speed and agility makes him incredibly difficult to stop when going full speed downhill. I am most impressed with the leap his shooting stroke has taken over the past two years. His outside game was always a weak area for him during his sophomore year, however now it is a real weapon. His ability to score over anyone in the paint really opens up his outside game, as defenders seem terrified to let him get downhill to the rim. I would like to see him work more on the defensive side of the ball, and work on becoming a more dominant defender in the paint. His athleticism and ability to stay in front of ball handlers makes him a real weapon. Shadow Creek has a solid junior big man, but the two of them should be wreaking more havoc in the paint together defensively.
Antwone Gonzales Antwone Gonzales 6'2" | CG Killeen Shoemaker | 2022 State TX 2022 6’2 Shoemaker High School
Antwone is an impressive athlete with an ability to dominate at all three levels. He is an aggressive finisher in the paint and is very quick when getting downhill. He scores with ease off the dribble and displayed some very impressive difficult shot making. He scored at an impressive clip when changing his shot angles and fading away from defenders from the mid-range and beyond the arc. He is a fantastic set shooter with a quick and high release point. I was impressed with his ability to be a help defender, whether it was tying up a ball handler in the corner or chasing down a defender on the fast break. I would like to see him look to get the best shot every time down the court more consistently. He has the ability to score in nearly every spot on the floor, he will become an elite weapon as he continues to learn when to get to those spots.
William Nathaniel William Nathaniel 6'5" | SG San Antonio East Central | 2022 State TX 2022 6’5 East Central High School
William is an athletic wing with the ability to score at all three levels. He played well against bigs and showed an ability to move his feet and defend guards on the perimeter as well. I was very impressed at his ball control and ability to dictate the flow of the game with a live dribble. He is a force when attacking downhill and can pass out and create looks for his teammates when the defense collapses on him. He is a beast in the full court and routinely got buckets after grabbing a defensive rebound and beating the opposing team down the floor. His ability to rebounds on both ends of the floor stood out as well, he uses his size and athleticism to box out defenders and sky for rebounds.
Jesse Peart Jesse Peart 6'4" | CG Boerne-Champion | 2022 State TX 2022 6’4 Boerne Champion High School
Jesse was a standout point guard for his team at the San Antonio Spurs Showcase for his ability to score at all three levels, create for his teammates and lead his team. He got to his spots in the mid-range and beyond the arc with a live dribble and confidently rose up over defenders and scored at a high clip. He is aggressive and loves getting downhill and forcing the defense to collapse. His ability to fire cross court passes to his open teammates lead his team to a very impressive performance.
Aidan Patree 2022 6’2 McKinney North High School
Aidan is an aggressive wing who thrives at doing all of the little things right. Whether it was cutting hard to the rim in the half-court, sliding over to protect the rim and leaping with forwards, or showing off his elite athleticism while doing all of the dirty work. Patree was one of my favorite players to watch, he displayed high basketball IQ on both ends of the floor, reading opponents’ passes and creating opportunities for his own teammates. He is a great back-side defender who has no fear at jumping for every block. He also has great hands who have a knack for tying up the ball and swatting away shots at the rim. I would like to see continued development with his shot off the bounce, but he has all the tools to be successful at the next level already.
