Brendan Donegan, Westwood, Class of 2023,
Brendan had a very solid game against Norwood. He had 7 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assists, a steal and a block. Brendan impacts the game in a lot of ways. Brendan can shoot the three, and also score down low. Brendan also rebounds the ball well.
Jose Padilla, Newton North, Position G, Class 2023
Jose is proving to be a big time playmaker for the Newton North Tigers. In last weeks win vs Wellesley Jose had a lot of big plays down the stretch to help lead the Tigers to the win. Jose finished the game with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Jose also had some big free throws late in the game. Jose had a lot of tough finishes at the rim through contact. Jose is a guard, who can stop on a dime, and score in a multitude of ways. He can shoot, score off the dribble, and also at the rim. For a guard Jose rebounds the ball very well. Jose is also a strong defender. Jose is a playmaker with a high basketball IQ. Jose is a player you should watch this season. The Newton North Tigers are currently ranked in the top 5 in the state.
Ben Brown, Concord, Position PF, HT 6’5.
Ben is starting off the season well. For most of last season Ben was sidelined with an injury, so this is a comeback season for Ben. Ben is a stretch player, who is versatile, and can play multiple positions. His combination of size and skill make him very tough to match up with. Ben had a strong game last Tuesday, in concords win vs Lincoln Sudbury.
Matthew Baur, Sharon, G/F, Class 2023
Matt had a double in Sharon’s win vs North Attleboro. Matt finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Matt scored in transition, and also in the half court. Matt rebounds the ball very well, and is a very unselfish player. Matt should be in for a big season for the Sharon Eagles.
Tony Felder Tony Felder 5'10" | PG Malden Catholic | 2023 New E , Malden Catholic, Position G, class 2022
The point guard is off to a strong start for Malden Catholic. Tony is a high level guard, who is very quick and athletic. Tony can get to the basketball with ease, and make big time baskets when you need them. Tony had 14 points in Malden’s win over O’Bryant last week. Malden has a lot of high level talent players on their team this year, and is a team you should watch.
