Coach Scott Langerock comments on the season
“We will need to handle a tough schedule to start the season with games at Yankton, SF Washington, and LeMars, We also have SF Lincoln and SF Rosey to finish our first 5 games. If we can keep our confidence and gain big game experience early we have a chance to develop into a competitive team. Everyone wants to be playing its best in Feb. but this is a great team to watch test that theory this season.”
Coach Langerock talks about the excitement heading the year
“Length and versatility in offensive options. We have a bunch of guys with high skill sets so if we can identify roles and make adjustments during games we can compete.”
Top Tigers
Gavin Aasheim Gavin Aasheim 6'0" | SG Harrisburg | 2022 SD (2022) |5-10 G|
He is a terrific leader for Harrisburg. Gavin brings toughness and shot-making ability to the Tigers.
Andrew Walter Andrew Walter 6'3" | SG Harrisburg | 2022 SD (2022) |6-3 G|
He is a 2-year starter. Walter will score on all levels of the floor.
Ethan Determan Ethan Determan 6'2" | SG Harrisburg | 2023 State SD (2023) |6-2 G|
Last season on JV, Ethan averaged 17 points per game. Since last year, Determan has added 16 pounds of muscle! Ethan can flat-out score the basketball. Look for Determan to sneak up on teams this season.
Jacoby Mehrman Jacoby Mehrman 6'4" | PG Harrisburg | 2024 State SD (2024) |6-3 PG|
He is a terrific sophomore that will lead the charge for the Tigers. Mehrman has a high and IQ and a gifted skill set. I saw him play this fall, and Jacoby is a stud. Physically, he is way ahead of the game and he has all the tools to be great.
Max Knutson (2023) |6-4 F|
He had a great off-season. Max is versatile and athletic. Knutson is an inside and outside scorer and a great rebounder.
Coach Langerock talks player personnel
“We have a bunch of guys that love to play basketball and compete in practice. I love the fact that they see the big picture of what we want to be as a team in Feb.“
