It was a physical game with a ton of fouls in the first half but after County got their groove going in the second half they pulled away and ultimately won by 31 points bringing their record to 5-0. Below are some standout performances:
Martin County High School:
2024 Elijah Duval Elijah Duval 6'2" | SG Martin County | 2024 #118 Nation FL – Jah finished with 18 points and brought down the house with some thunderous dunks. Jah also got hot from beyond the arc hitting some big 3’s throughout the game. Jah was solid on the defensive end causing several turnovers and did a great job finishing in transition. Jah took a charge and was a headache all night for the opposing team. Jah does a nice job of staying locked in and not letting the opposing crowd to get to him. Overall a solid game from one of the best 2024 players in his class whose stock will continue to rise throughout this season.
2022 Braydin Samuels Braydin Samuels 6'2" | CG Martin County | 2022 State FL – Braydin did an outstanding job on both ends of the court and was the team’s leading scorer with 25 points which included 5 three pointers and several nice baskets at the rim. Braydin plays with great energy and is always in attack mode. Braydin does a nice job in transition and is active on the glass as well. South Fork simply did not have an answer for Braydin thus shown by the lopsided score. Braydin will look to keep his hot streak going when they go head to head with Lake Worth later in the week.
2022 Jack Pierrelus – Jack provided a spark off the bench and added 19 huge points providing a solid overall contribution in this game. Jack seemed to always be in the right spot to get easy buckets at the rim and played with great energy throughout the game. Jack was getting it done on both ends of the court and was tough to stop for the opposing team. I like Jack’s overall game and will continue to monitor his progress throughout this season.
South Fork High School:
2023 Noah Josie Noah Josie 5'7" | PG South Fork | 2023 FL – Noah brings a ton of heart and passion to this overall game. He never seems to get tired and plays with a nonstop motor. Noah was easily the top scorer for South Fork and was their standout performer for the game. Noah is good at attacking the basket and hit some big three pointers early on in the game. Noah has been one of the leading scorers in the Treasure Coast thus far and I am confident he will continue to be a standout for South Fork as the season moves along.
2023 Tyler Pollak – The 6’6 Junior played very physical and was the leading rebounder in the game. Tyler did a nice job finishing at the rim and was banging down low all night. This was my first time seeing him play and I was impressed with his overall style of play and the high level of intensity he played with.
