Scott Gyimesi Scott Gyimesi 6'6" | SF Rumson Fair-Haven | 2022 State NJ , 6’6 SF/PF Rumson Fair-Haven 2022
Gyimesi was a force for the Bulldogs all night long as the Lions simply could not stop him. The Tufts commit showed off his soft hands as he caught everything around the basket. Gyimesi has a nice touch around the basket and put the ball on the floor to get to the rim. He skied for rebounds on both ends of the floor and made great passes in the halfcourt. Gyimesi is a versatile forward who should continue to have big games for Rumson Fair-Haven as the season continues.
Pat Lautato, 6’5 SF CBA 2022
Lautato was key for the Colts as he made plays during crunch time against Red Bank Regional. The 6’5 wing has a nice handle, which he used to get by his defender and finish around the rim. Lautato did more than just slash as he also knocked down a couple jumpers from distance and has a good release on his shot. He rarely forced shots in the half court and was hard to keep off the glass on both ends. Lautato is a hard-working wing prospect who should matchup nicely against Gyimesi in the semifinals tomorrow.
Taheen Brown Taheen Brown 6'4" | SG Covenant College Prep | 2023 State NJ , 6’4 SG Ranney 2022
Brown started off the game strong for the Panthers as he attacked the basket with a purpose often. The 6’4 guard was at his best going to his right as the Bombers could not keep him out of the lane. Brown finished strong and threw down an impressive jam in transition in the second half. He moved well without the ball and drew contact on multiple occasions. Brown’s ability to get to the basket is something that will help his stock in a big way as the season goes on for Ranney.
Matt Kenny Matt Kenny 5'10" | PG Middletown North | 2022 State NJ , 6’1 PG Middletown North 2022
Kenny was a sparkplug for the Lions early in the game against Long Branch. The 6’1 guard has a quick release on his jumper and knocked down multiple shots when given space from distance. Kenny did more than just shoot as he also put the ball on the floor and finished nicely around the basket. He made few poor decisions with the ball in his hands and ran the offense effectively. Kenny is a sharpshooter who can also handle the ball on the perimeter for Middletown North.
Jackson Hyman Jackson Hyman 6'0" | PG Red Bank Regional | 2023 NJ , 6’0 PG Red Bank Regional 2023
Hyman had a big game for the Bucs as he did all he could for the tournament hosts. The 6’0 guard has a pretty touch on his floater and was able to get into the lane with consistency. Hyman hit big triples down the stretch and has a quick release on his jumper. He did a good job of involving his teammates in the half court and also showed an ability to play off the ball. Hyman is a hard-working guard prospect who can score in different ways for Red Bank Regional in the backcourt.
