We have some prospects off to a good start in Palm Beach County. Feel free to send me any information from this area. I would like to highlight as many prospects as I can.
Let’s take a look…
Michael Cooper – Forest Hill
2022 Michael Cooper has been a prospect on my radar for quite some time. The 6-foot-1 guard scored 28 points in a victory over Nova High School. Copper was aggressive at the basket and hit multiple 3-pointers. Overall, he went 3-of-6 from deep. Cooper also went 8-of-10 from the free-throw line. It was a balanced game for the senior as the Falcons cruised to a 35-point victory. Cooper will be a key reason to Forest Hill’s success this season.
Kyle McNeal Kyle McNeal 6'1" | PG Dwyer | 2023 #297 Nation FL / Xavier Scott Xavier Scott 5'11" | CG Dwyer | 2022 State FL – Dwyer
2023 Kyle McNeal Kyle McNeal 6'1" | PG Dwyer | 2023 #297 Nation FL and 2022 Xavier Scott Xavier Scott 5'11" | CG Dwyer | 2022 State FL combined for 36 points in a 57-50 win over Florida Christian. Moreover, Scott went 4-of-4 from deep and McNeal went 3-of-3. Each prospect is highly athletic and tough to stop in the open floor. I would argue they are two of the best athletes in South Florida. Also, going a perfect 7-of-7 from three is likely icing on the cake for any opponent. They gave Florida Christian a bit of their own medicine as they like to push the tempo. McNeal/Scott give the Panthers a solid 1-2 punch on one of the better teams in the county.
Julian Sotomayor – Jupiter
2022 Julian Sotomayor finished with a team-high 19 points in a 70-26 victory over Inlet Grove. The 6-foot-1 guard fills out a very talented roster for the Warriors. In particular, Jupiter has solid backcourt depth. Sotomayor should carry this momentum moving forward, along with the rest of the team. He could give key production moving forward with mainstays Alex Houck Alex Houck 6'3" | CG Jupiter | 2022 State FL and Conner Weston leading the charge. Jupiter can grow and build from within.
Dylan Rogers – St. Andrew’s
2022 Dylan Rogers has helped the Scots to a 3-0 start. The 6-foot-8 power forward scored 17 points and grabbed ten boards in a victory over Santaluces. In another contest, 6-foot-5 Charlie May Charlie May 6'5" | SG St. Andrew's | 2022 State FL scored had 17 points, 14 boards and six assists in a victory over Everglades. 6-foot-6 Andrew Sineway added 16 points and eight boards. St. Andrew’s clearly has some size. I give them credit after losing heavy star-power last season. They face a hungry Somerset Prep North Lauderdale team on Tuesday.
