Bergen Catholic’s Julian Brown Julian Brown 6'1" | PG Bergen Catholic | 2022 State NJ committed to Wagner yesterday, but the county still has plenty of players who should make an impact at the next level. Here are the top available 2022 prospects in Bergen County.
David Mager David Mager 6'3" | SG Dwight-Englewood | 2022 State NJ , 6’3 SG Dwight-Englewood
Mager is the top available prospect in Bergen County and is in store for a big senior season. The 6’3 lefty has a nice release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Mager is more than just a shooter as he can also finish around the rim and has a nice touch on his floater. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Mager averaged over 20 points a game as a junior and should do the same in 2021-22.
David Luberoff David Luberoff 6'8" | PF Blair Academy | 2023 State NJ , 6’8 PF Midland Park
Luberoff has the opportunity to make a name for himself this season as he looks to lead the way for Midland Park. The 6’8 forward has a nice touch around the basket and can finish through contact. Luberoff can also put the ball on the floor and his range extends out to the three-point line. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to swat shots around the basket. Luberoff is a stretch-four prospect that will be one to watch in Bergen County.
Pat Rogers Pat Rogers 6'6" | SF Rutherford | 2022 State NJ , 6’6 SF Rutherford
Rogers had a strong summer for the NJ Panthers and it should continue into the winter. The 6’6 wing is at his best attacking the basket as he is a good finisher and does not mind contact. Rogers can also score in the mid-range and has a nice release on his jumper. He is an underrated passer and has the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor. Rogers is an intriguing prospect to watch this season as he looks to lead Rutherford deep into the state tournament.
Shawn Reckley Shawn Reckley 6'3" | SG Hackensack | 2022 State NJ , 6’3 SG Hackensack
Reckley had a breakthrough junior season and will be the go-to guy for the Comets again this year. The 6’3 guard shoots the ball with confidence from distance and can knock down triples in bunches. Reckley is capable of shooting either off the dribble or bounce, but can also finish around the basket. He has a nice handle and moves well off the ball. Reckley is a scoring guard prospect who should light up the scoreboard this season.
Isaiah Edmond Isaiah Edmond 6'2" | CG Don Bosco Prep | 2022 State NJ , 6’2 CG Don Bosco Prep
Edmond should get more looks on the offensive end as he enters his final season of varsity basketball. The 6’2 guard moves his feet well on the defensive end and is unafraid of diving on the floor for loose balls. Edmond is a solid passer and moves well off the ball. He has a good handle, which he uses to get by his defender and finish around the basket. Edmond is a gritty guard prospect who should help the Ironmen throughout the season.
