Analysis of Eight Eastern Washington Prospects Class of 2022
Class of 2022
Dylan Darling Dylan Darling 6'1" | CG Central Valley | 2022 WA 2022 6-1 Point Guard Central Valley
Consistently showed over four games a commitment to defense and transition offense. He enjoys pressuring the ball, getting in passing lanes, and flying above the rim for offensive boards. There is nothing subtle about his game. He is the ultimate “next play” guy who is absolutely relentless. His energy is contagious and he elevates the level of effort of all his teammates. He is a push-and-pass first point guard and the few times he showed his catch and shoot three, he got it off quickly with great form. The lefty is equally adept at attacking the basket with hard physical drives to the right as he is to the left. Is more than an athlete though. He has the savvy to create space to keep the count off and throws no-look, on target passes.
Rayzhon Bergerson 2022 6-2 Combo Guard Ferris
Another player who seems faster when dribbling- tremendous speed and has a knack for finding the weak spots of a team’s transition defense
Grayson Hunt 2022 6-8 Post Pullman
Great hands and finds himself in the right spot defensively to block shots above the rim and pursues rebounds out of his area. Seals well and finishes everything close to the basket. Showed off his length and strength with a no dribble drop step dunk in a crowd
John Lustig 2022 6-3 Shooting Guard Colfax
A very focused player with a tremendous feel for the game He has a variety of offensive skills but never tried to do too much. He reads defenses well and uses a beautiful pull up three point shot or can elevate above the rim after attacking the basket depending on what the situation calls for. Defensively he challenges three point shooters without fouling or getting beat off the dribble and can aggressively and physically block shots near the basket. He has a great frame but does not just bully defenders. He has enough speed with the ball to go paint to paint. He adjusted to how the officials were calling the game and made sure not to travel on a tight spin move in traffic. Consistently drew a crowd and when he earned a trip to the foul line he showed off his perfect shooting form.
Zachary Reingold 2022 6-0 Point Guard Mead
For a smaller player, the table setting playmaker has great balance and absorbs contact well. He is shifty enough to get to the rim and draw fouls. Would like to see if he has a floater or the ability to score inside after being hit. Defensively he uses his chest on ball handlers and anticipates better than most and despite not having elite quickness gets to a lot of rebounds and loose balls.
Turner Livingston 2022 6-4 West Valley (Spokane)
An excellent defender that is vocal and possesses quick enough feet to allow him to hedge the on ball and recover in time so as not to create a help situation for his teammates. The lefty has a decent three point stroke, is a solid passer on the break with a nose for offensive rebounds. He has the energy and desire to rebound out of his area and to dunk with authority.
Jeremiah Sibley Jeremiah Sibley 6'0" | PG University | 2022 WA 2022 6-0 Point Guard University (Spokane)
A true floor general who loves to direct traffic, talk to his teammates, and make plays for others. He has an extremely high motor, is both fast and quick and applies great pressure on ball handlers in the back court. In transition he makes purposeful decisions about who to pass to and when. He will hold the ball only as long as necessary and will time the bounce on his pass to lead his teammates into open areas. With additional strength and durability he will become a more highly recruited four-year college point guard prospect.
Nate Harding Nate Harding 6'1" | PG Chelan | 2022 State WA 2022 6-2 Combo Guard Chelan
Named a top performer for the event, the pure-shooting playmaker again proved himself a scorer and led his team to two wins. He closed out the last game by scoring the final nine points for his team and proved to be a clutch performer. Of the 160 players who participated in the Showcase, he was the seventh leading scorer at nearly 16 per game.
