Providence Christian will be led by three dynamic seniors on the floor. This upcoming season, the program has high hopes of winning Area 3 and making a deep run in the Class 3A state playoffs. With these three players listed below leading the charge, plus a few others to watch, Providence is set up for success this season.
Matthew McClintock, 5-8 G, Senior
McClintock is a scoring machine on offense. He can attack the glass and is a lockdown defender on defense. With the ball in his hands, McClintock can hit big time shots from anywhere on the floor with his excelente shooting ability and court vision.
Creel Capps, 5-10 F, Senior
Capps is a star at the forward position and could have a big year. He is a pivotal player that can score inside and at the mid range level. He can attack the glass at both ends of the court and can rack up assists.
Jake Lewis, 6-1 G, Senior
Lewis is another star guard for the Eagles. He can fly to the rim and is an excellent spot up shooter from beyond the arc. The Senior plays phenomenal defense and can take the ball away on any possession.
Thomas Phillips, 5-11 F, Junior
Phillips is another great forward for PCS. He is a great teammate and can create open looks for the ball handler. But with the ball in his hands, Phillips can drive towards the basket and score or grab rebounds.
Calvin McClintock, 5-7 G, Sophomore
McClintock is the brother of Matthew, but Calvin has a ton of potential. Just entering his Sophomore season, McClintock has solid handles and can score consistently and quickly. While his playing time won’t be extended this season, the sophomore guard can excite the crowd when he is on the court.
