Malik Ross Malik Ross 6'0" | CG Tualatin | 2022 State OR (2022 Tualatin) – We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – Ross is unstoppable going to the basket. The 5-foot-11 has the right combination of speed and strength to get into the lane and then finish over bigger players, with the skill to use either hand to finish. We’re not sure if we saw him miss a layup all day.
Dylan Westlake Dylan Westlake 6'0" | PG Mountainside | 2022 State OR (2022 Mountainside) – Westlake is another guy who made a living getting into the lane but in addition to finishing around the hoop, he also got buckets using a one-handed runner. He was seemingly just as good in half-court settings as he was on the break in this regard.
Noah Ogoli Noah Ogoli 6'2" | CG Tualatin | 2022 State OR (2022 Tualatin) – We were looking back at our writeup of Ogoli at the Top 250 Expo a couple of years ago and he made the top shooters writeup. The 6-foot senior was still knocking them down from the outside but the senior is also now capable of getting to the hoop and getting his points that way as well.
Sawyer Wolf Sawyer Wolf 6'3" | SG Tigard | 2023 State OR (2023 Tigard) – Wolf may seem to be play methodically but the truth of the matter is he’s measuring up his defender. The 6-foot-3 guard was making up his mind whether to hit from the outside or take him off the dribble and finish around the hoop. The junior should have a key role at Tigard this season.
Jordan Johnson Jordan Johnson 6'1" | CG Century | 2024 State OR (2024 Century) – Johnson turned heads with his ability to score at all three levels and especially when people found out he’s only a sophomore. The 6-foot-1 combo guard didn’t just focus on his own offense either as he looked to set up teammates as well. He’s due for a breakout year.
Dylan Douangphrachanh Dylan Douangphrachanh 6'3" | SG Benson | 2024 State OR (2024 Benson) – Douangphrachanh is a good shooter from the perimeter and he knocked down his share of threes on the day. But the sophomore wing seemed to really want to show that he could take it to the hole and he was able to convert a number of drives as well.
Nick Robertson Nick Robertson 6'4" | SG La Salle | 2023 State OR (2023 La Salle) – Robertson admittedly didn’t hit his perimeter shots as much as he would have liked. But the 6-foot-3 guard still nailed a number of jumpers and also was able to effectively use his length to get into the lane and score over and around bigger defenders.
Dimitri Cohen Dimitri Cohen 5'11" | CG Mountainside | 2022 State OR (2022 Mountainside) – There were some roster changes so Cohen’s team wasn’t as deep as it could have been. But the 5-foot-10 senior did the best he could and was able to get buckets both hitting from deep as well as using his strong body to finish around the hoop.
Brady Rice Brady Rice 6'2" | SG Beaverton | 2023 State OR (2023 Beaverton) – As we’ve become used to, Rice fit in with his teammates and essentially took advantage of whatever opportunity was given him offensively. He knocked down open shots from the perimeter but also found holes in the defense to drive and convert at the hoop.
Jackson Owens Jackson Owens 6'3" | CG Cleveland | 2024 State OR (2024 Cleveland) – Owens simply has a knack for scoring. The 6-foot-3 sophomore hit open shots, used his physicality to drive past opponents for scores, and used his deceptive leaping ability to finish around the rim. He’s definitely a sleeper to watch out for in the 2024 class.
