Prep Hoops PA Fall Rankings Update: Class of 2024 Newcomers

Our Newcomers for the class of 2024 exploded onto the scene for the Prep Hoops PA Rankings Update this October. A variety of scouts researched what was missing in the list that could provide a more talented group of players to be included in our database. This led to an elaborate ranking format that includes 250 high school basketball players. The following young men have established themselves as deserving members in the state of Pennsylvania and will do everything in their power to prove they belong in our rankings. The high-level talent included in this article is extremely impressive to say the least.

2024 NEWCOMERS

#2  Ahmad Nowell Ahmad Nowell 6'1" | CG Imhotep Charter | 2024 State #54 Nation PA / 6’2 / combo guard / Imhotep Charter School 

Ahmad is a top-level recruit with a good amount of division 1 offers already on the table. His progression has been one of dominance on the court throughout the summer months and will be just as outstanding moving forward with the high school season. A skilled combo guard who can do it all during games while being a strong-willed leader for his team. Ahmad will be playing D1 hoops in the near future.

#4  Dellquan Warren Dellquan Warren 6'1" | CG Keystone Athletic Academy | 2024 State #87 Nation PA / 6’1 / combo guard / Keystone Athletic Academy

Dellquan has the ability to score in a variety of ways from penetration in the lane, knocking down the mid-range jumper, and slam dunking on someone whether on the break or in the half-court set. Also, he has the confidence to fire it up from beyond the arc with consistency. He plays with an edge on the defensive end of the floor as well. Dellquan has some D1 offers and will definitely play at the highest level in a few years.

#13  Xavier Fulton Xavier Fulton 6'9" | C Keystone Athletic Academy | 2024 State PA / 6’9 / center / Keystone Athletic Academy

Xavier exhibits the athleticism and length to be a difference-maker on both the offensive and defensive end of the court. His solid interior post-game and rebounding strength bring out the competitiveness in this young man. A quality rim protector in the paint intimidates his opponents causing them to stay on the perimeter. Xavier is a D1 recruit with offers from a multitude of schools.

#36  Camden Burns Camden Burns 6'0" | CG SCH Academy | 2024 State PA / 6’0 / combo guard / Springside Chestnut Hill Academy

Camden has a high basketball IQ and his court vision is a tremendous compliment to his all-around game. This talented performer is a proven leader and similar to a coach on the floor for his team. With a quick release and the ability to come off, screens create many scoring opportunities for him in half-court offensive sets. Camden looks to be a D1 or D2 recruit moving forward the next few seasons.

#38  Virgil Hall Virgil Hall 6'9" | C Imani Christian Academy | 2024 State PA / 6’9 / center / Imani Christian Academy

Virgil is a big, long post threat who continues to develop his game with a strong work ethic and dedication to improvement. The shot-blocking skill possesssed by this inside force causes opponents to alter their shots often in the lane during contests. He has a soft touch from 12 to 15 feet and continues to gain confidence in the post. Virgil will eventually be a D1 or D2 recruit upon graduation.

#96  Dontae Campagna Dontae Campagna 5'11" | PG Blackhawk | 2024 State PA / 5’11 / point guard / Blackhawk High School

Dontae is an extremely quick guard with active hands that causes havoc for the opposing offense. Also, his intelligence and fundamental skill set make him a floor general for his team. With the ability and high motor to produce buckets in bunches, this young man will develop into a quality point guard at the high school varsity level. Dontae plays multiple sports and will have a good amount of options his senior year.

#101  Greg Guidinger Greg Guidinger 6'6" | SF Central York | 2024 State PA / 6’6 / small forward / Central York High School

Greg is a lanky, stretch forward that gets out in transition and likes to finish at the rim. A shot blocker and above-average rebounder who draws lots of attention in the paint on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. He has a solid mid-range jumper to complement a strong post game. Greg continues to grow and mature which can lead to more recruitment moving forward in the next few seasons.
