Prep Hoops PA Fall Rankings Update: Class of 2022 Newcomers

These 2022 Newcomers burst on the scene for the Prep Hoops PA Rankings Update this October. A variety of scouts researched what was missing in the list that could provide a more talented group of players to be included in our database. This led to an extensive ranking format that includes 230 basketball players. The following young men have established themselves as deserving members in the state of Pennsylvania and will do everything in their power to prove they belong in our rankings. 

“2022 Newcomers”

#13  Angelo Reeves Angelo Reeves 6'7" | SF First Love Christian Academy | 2022 State PA / 6’7 / small forward / First Love Christian Academy

• An athletic wing forward with top-notch shot-blocking ability and he rebounds well on both the offensive/defensive glass
• He likes to run the floor and finish with thunderous slams at the rim, which has earned him the nickname “Boom”
• Angelo made the jump into the rankings this month and will look to climb higher by the next round of Prep Hoops PA rankings

#14  Gavin Cote Gavin Cote 6'5" | CG Peters Township | 2022 State PA / 6’5 / combo guard / Peters Township High School

• His overall talent makes him a significant match-up nightmare for opponents every time he steps on the court
• This young man can score from a variety of spots during a game on a consistent basis
• Gavin is a seriously strong addition to the Prep Hoops rankings and will make his name known throughout the HS season

#18  Jackson Jurzang Jackson Jurzang 6'2" | CG Winchester Thurston | 2022 State PA / 6’2 / combo guard / Winchester Thurston High School

• He can fill it up from all over the court with penetration, mid-range shots, deep three-pointers, and transition baskets
• A quality defender who exhibits quick feet and hands which causes havoc for the offense
• Jackson has established himself as a mainstay in the rankings and will prove his worth this winter in the gym

#19  Alex Griggs Alex Griggs 6'1" | CG First Love Christian Academy | 2022 State PA / 6’1 / combo guard / First Love Christian Academy

• An exceptionally strong, physical guard who uses his body well in the lane to finish at the basket
• His court vision and awareness are two other strengths for this talented player from a national powerhouse school
• Alex flew into the state rankings this Fall and is looking to make a move before the next list is finalized

#34  Will Kromka Will Kromka 6'4" | SG Gateway | 2022 State PA / 6’4 / shooting guard / Gateway High School

• He has the fundamental skill set that separates him from many of his opponents on the court
• A true leader with a high basketball IQ which helps his teammates during games be successful
• Will has entered the Prep Hoops rankings and definitely looks to make a big leap moving forward as the year progresses

#59  Ben Myers Ben Myers 6'7" | PF Penn-Trafford | 2022 State PA / 6’7 / power forward / Penn-Trafford High School

• A skilled big man with above-average post moves and a strong desire to rebound on the offensive and defensive glass
• He creates problems in the paint on defense with his length and shot-blocking ability, while also altering many shots by his opponents
• Ben has made the move into the PA rankings and will strive to rise higher for the next addition

#70  Armend Karpuzi Armend Karpuzi 6'3" | SF Deer Lakes | 2022 State PA / 6’3 / wing forward / Deer Lakes High School 

• His knowledge of the game helps his performance on the court in close game situations
• A player that can score from many positions on the perimeter or on the fast break throughout a contest
• Armend will look to make the jump in our rankings for the next publication
