The 2023 class stood out the most and caught my eyes. Down below are well-deserved players that have made the Top 2023 First-Team and are receiving the recognition they deserve.
- Jacob Martin Jacob Martin 6'0" | PG Millard North | 2023 State NE | Omaha South 6’1 Point Guard — Martin plays with a little bit of swagger. He has crazy quickness on both end of the courts. He showed he was able to make defenders dance and make tough shots. Offensively, Martin loved the in-and-out step back. He can create for himself and his teammates. He will be making his 2nd season in the lineup for the Packers this upcoming season. He fits perfectly for Coach Bruce Chubick’s system. He’s a player to keep an eye out for.
- T"Andre Perkins | Omaha South 6’5 Small Forward — Perkins was such a fun player to watch during the entire camp. He was able to score at will with a variety of ways. He erupted for 42 points in the final game that included 2 alley oop dunks, multiple three-pointers, put back layups and a lot of back and fourth with his high school team Jacob Martin Jacob Martin 6'0" | PG Millard North | 2023 State NE . Perkins is the highest ranked player on this team as the number 11th ranked player in his class.
- Eli Robinson Eli Robinson 6'5" | PF Bellevue East | 2023 State NE | Bellevue East 6’5 Power Forward — Eli was showing his length and size on the defensive end. Eli stood vertical and altered many shots. He plays fundamental basketball on both sides of the court. Eli also had a fast break two-hand dunk in a game. He will be a player to look out for this season for Bellevue East.
- Collin Nick Collin Nick 6'5" | PF Lincoln High | 2023 State NE | Lincoln 6’6 Power Forward — Collin Nick Collin Nick 6'5" | PF Lincoln High | 2023 State NE stood dout for many reasons during the showcase. One play in paticular, he beat his defender off the dribble baseline and finished with a two hand jam in traffic. He was dominant down low finishing with either hand around the rim. Collins was my favorite player of this class to watch during the camp.
- Wade Voss Wade Voss 6'5" | PF Lincoln Southeast | 2023 State NE | Lincoln Southeast 6’7 Power Forward — Voss was another big that made some noise. He showed his versitility by scoring in a variety of ways. He has the ability to shot from the outside the perimeter and was ferocious down in the paint. Wade also had a few in-game dunks that he made look easy.
