ND 2024 Rankings Review: Newcomers

We recently updated the class of 2024 player rankings. The next rankings will be updated in January after we get into the high school season. In this article, we are looking at the fresh faces in the rankings.

2024 ND NEWCOMERS

Race Wilson Race Wilson 5'11" | SG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2024 ND |5-11 SG| West Fargo Sheyenne

An ultra-quick and explosive backcourt player. Race is an excellent ball-handler and defender. Wilson excels at manipulating the tempo and flow of the game. He does a nice job of distributing and getting everyone involved. Wilson is also a sharpshooter from the perimeter. He is one of the first players I want to see play this season.

Caleb Duerr Caleb Duerr 6'4" | SG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2024 State ND |6-3 SF| West Fargo Sheyenne

He is an excellent athlete for the Mustangs. Caleb has a nice jumper and he can elevate over defenders to get his shot off. His length has helped him become an exceptional rebounder. Deurr is also a very good defender. It looks like Caleb will have a very bright future in hoops. 

Carvin Fish Carvin Fish 6'6" | SF West Fargo Horace | 2024 State ND |6-4 SF| Horace/RISE Up

This kid is shooter and a scorer. Carvin shot it very well at the 250 Expo, especially from beyond the arc. I like the way he moves without the ball. Carvin has good feet and hands. Fish has a great spin-move and he can finish after contact. This kid has the chance to be a stud for Horace.

Kaden Christmann Kaden Christmann 6'1" | SG Fargo Shanley | 2024 State ND |6-0 SG| Horace/Next Level Basketball Academy

I had the chance to see him play this summer and at the Expo this fall. I love his aggressiveness and energy. “Kaden is always in “attack-mode”. He has many moves but his fake crossover and hesitation moves stuck out to me. Christmann is a smooth finisher that can score with either hand. I am interested to see how much playing he will get on varsity for Shanley.

Riley Sunram Riley Sunram 6'5" | PF Kindred | 2024 State ND |6-4 PF| Kindred

The Vikings are loaded with athletic big men. When you add Riley into the mix the Vikings will have the most depth in the frontcourt in all of Class B. Sunram is big, long, and athletic. He can rebound and protect the rim. This Viking is a very intriguing player.

Carter Maasjo Carter Maasjo 6'2" | PF Central Cass | 2024 ND |6-2 F| Central Cass

This Squirrel is a hardworking forward that plays full-tilt all the time. Carter is an athletic player that does not shy away from physical play. Carter will have the chance to get varsity minutes this year and he will provide depth. Maasjo will help Central Cass compete in the difficult Region-1. 

Ty Hughes Ty Hughes 5'11" | SG Des Lacs Burlington | 2024 ND |5-11 G| Des Lacs Burlington

A very hard-working player. Ty will be a great defender this year for the Lakers. He uses his body well around the basket for being undersized. Expect Hughes to have a very nice sophomore season.
