2023 ND NEWCOMERS
Max Shell Max Shell 5'10" | SG West Fargo | 2023 ND |5-9 SG| West Fargo/Next Level Basketball Academy
He has improved his shooting since last year. Max is resourceful and creative when he gets going downhill. For his size, Shell finishes well at the rim against bigger frontcourt players. West Fargo lost some excellent talent last year to graduation, but they bring back all 3 starting guards. It will be interesting to see where Max fits into the rotation. He certainly has the ability and skill to be a contributor for the Packers.
Samuel Kebulu Samuel Kebulu 6'4" | SF Fargo South | 2023 ND |6-4 SF| Fargo South/Next Level Basketball Academy
The Bruins graduated their top two players so there should be plenty of playing time for Kebulu. He has a nose for the ball, which makes him a quality rebounder. Samuel is athletic and he has good size. He has the potential to be a mismatch problem depending on what position he plays for South. Kebulu will come into the year a much more complete player compared to last year.
Brady Norenberg Brady Norenberg 6'9" | C Garrison | 2023 State ND |6-9 C| Garrison
This big man has the potential to be a beast in the paint. Brady can be a force down low and teams will struggle to move him out of his position. Norenberg can be an intimidating player and a rim protector. Nobody can match his size in Region 5. This kid has loads of potential.
TJ Syvertson TJ Syvertson 6'1" | SG Garrison | 2023 State ND |6-1 G| Garrison
He has the chance to be a very good shooter. TJ kills it with his mid-range jump shot. He can guard multiple positions on defense which makes him a valuable defender. TJ is full of energy and he is always challenging the opposing team. Look for Syvertson to be an X-factor for the Troopers this season.
Carsen Barta Carsen Barta 6'1" | SG Fargo Davies | 2023 ND |6-1 SG| Fargo Davies
This Eagle was dominating in JV last year. Carson can flat out score the basketball. He is creative and plays with enthusiasm. Davies has a ton of talented guards, but you should still expect Barta to get some varsity minutes. He will be another nice scoring option for the Eagles.
Mason Bosse Mason Bosse 6'0" | SG Central Cass | 2023 State ND |5-10 G| Central Cass/Master Basketball Academy
This Squirrel always seems to be improving his game. Mason is a consistent shooter from beyond the arc and from 15 feet on in. Central Cass will have a talented squad this year and Bosse will have the chance to make plays for the Squirrels. Look out for Central Cass as a dark horse in Region 1.
