We’ve posted two sets of top performers, statistical leaders, and a huge photo gallery. Also, every single player at the event has received an evaluation thanks to our hard-working staff.
Beginning Monday, we will release our initial Class of 2025 Watch List that we will use as a template to begin ranking the state’s best freshman. That rankings process will take place between now and the beginning of the high school season.
Before diving into all of that though, I wanted to take the opportunity to highlight 10 more individuals from our Freshman Showcase. These are five guards and five forwards/centers that people around the state will need to follow over the next four years.
Cal Bostic Cal Bostic 6'7" | C Park Tudor | 2025 State IN (Park Tudor 2025)
Big 6’6″ post player that stood out as one of the best front court prospects at the event. Bostic is a strong finisher inside that isn’t afraid to assert himself and demand the ball on the block. Most impressively, the big man showed the ability to stretch the floor as he knocked down three three-pointers across the three games he played in. There is a lot of skill to work with on the offensive end.
Kanon Higgs Kanon Higgs 6'5" | C Muncie Central | 2025 IN (Muncie Central H.S. 2025)
Higgs is a brick wall around the basket. He has a big, incredibly strong base that makes him very hard to move off of the block. Offensively he can catch it and finish inside while defensively he is in the way and can impact shots. His footwork could get a little quicker, but that will come over time. He is a very physical prospect with the build to have a bright future. Scored and rebounded at a high level last Saturday.
Albren Johnson Albren Johnson 6'5" | PF Cathedral | 2025 State IN (Cathedral H.S. 2025)
When just looking for a raw prospect with untapped potential, Johnson may have been one of the best at our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. He is a 6’4″ athletic forward with a lot of bounciness around the basket. Johnson got up and dunked the ball inside a couple of times throughout the day. The overall skill level will need to keep developing, but the physical tools are there. Definitely a prospect to follow.
Tyler Raasch Tyler Raasch 6'8" | C NorthWood | 2025 State IN (NorthWood H.S. 2025)
Length, length, length. It is a popular term in modern basketball culture and Raasch has plenty of it. Very good rebounder outside of his area. Showed the ability to score it around the basket but also out to the 15-foot range with his face up jump shot. Mostly makes noise as a rebounder and rim runner on the offensive end. Very intriguing prospect that could really develop.
Hunter Sisson Hunter Sisson 6'6" | C Benton Central | 2025 State IN (Benton Central H.S. 2025)
Sisson is a big 6’5″ forward that really wants to shoot it from three-point range. Luckily for him, he can do that quite well. He will need to work on his lateral quickness and athleticism, but a lot of that will come with just getting older and more physically mature. He has a sweet outside stroke and is great from the trail spot. Should be a rotation varsity player at Benton Central as a freshman. Can’t teach 6’5″ shooter!
