It seems as if basketball never stops between High School and Travel season. Many High School teams are preparing for the upcoming High School season by playing in fall leagues and showcase events.

This varsity showcase was an overall solid event and I wanted to highlight some top performances from the undefeated Athletes of Influence Varsity squad led by Fort Pierce Central High School Coach [player_tooltip player_id="1301751" first="Chris" last="Maxon"]. This team was 4-0 on the weekend and had a very strong showing.

[player_tooltip player_id="1301752" first="Christian" last="Maxon"] 2025- 6’0 G - Fort Pierce Central High School - Christian averaged 23 points a game while putting on a shooting display throughout the event. Christian seemed to get his shots off without problem thanks to constant on and off the ball screens. This team is very exciting to watch as the ball movement doesn’t stop. Christian also played great on the defensive end with several steals and rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id="1293280" first="CHRISTOPHER" last="MAXON"] 2025- 6’0 G- Fort Pierce Central High School - Christopher averaged 16 points per game and 7 assists while delivering impressive overall stat lines throughout the event. Christopher is a very quick guard with elite ball handling skills. He plays off the ball very well and knows how to find his spots. He had a very strong showing overall and will be one to watch in the 2025 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1293195" first="Joshua" last="Williams"] 2023 - 5’10 G - Fort Pierce Central High School - Josh had a great weekend averaging 8 points per game and several steals. Josh is very strong on both sides of the court and plays relentless defense. Josh has a motor that does not stop and knows how to get to the rim. Josh is always in attack mode and was one of the hardest workers in the gym.

Sami Rahman 2022 - 6’1 G - Fort Pierce Central High School - Sami had an exciting weekend averaging 18 points a game and helped AOI achieve an undefeated weekend. Sami who is a senior will be one of the leading scorers this upcoming season in the Treasure Coast and I expect a big senior season ahead for him. Sami is a fierce competitor who makes the most out of every possession and can score at will. He has a nice touch around the rim and can hurt you in a variety of ways.

[player_tooltip player_id="955765" first="Travis" last="King"] 2022 - 6’6 PF - Fort Pierce Central High School - Travis averaged 6 points a game while setting several key screens for his teammates. Travis also collected tons of rebounds while playing very aggressive on both ends of the court. This senior is poised to have a great season ahead and knows how to use his size. Travis has solid footwork and a consistent outside shot. Overall Travis had a great weekend and was a key factor in the 4 wins.
