The first session will take place at U-Turn in Richmond with games starting at 1. There are 18 teams in the event, and will be two more sessions on 10/10 and 10/24 at U-Turn as well.
There are a lot of prospects to preview in the event, so stay tuned on Prep Hoops and if you can’t make it in person you can tune into the live stream on the CBG Live Network.
Here’s a look at part four of the many 2022 prospects that will be in attendance.
Tyler Nickel Tyler Nickel 6'8" | SF East Rockingham | 2022 State #85 Nation VA | 6’7” WF | CBG Elite (East Rockingham)
The UNC commit is one of the nation’s top scoring wings and was the top scorer at the CBG Fall Series, and he’s back to play with one of the CBG Elite teams this year. The 6’7” wing has all of the physical tools to create his own shot, he’s excellent making shots on the move and coming off of screens and he has that competitive chip that no matter what the setting is he’s going to go get it and try to fill it up in bunches.
Trey Gillenwater Trey Gillenwater 6'2" | PG Eastern Mennonite | 2022 State VA | 6’2” CG | CBG Elite (Eastern Mennonite)
Gillenwater is one of the top scorers in the Harrisonburg area over the past few years, and he’s ready to show college coaches at the Fall Series what he can do with the ball in his hands. He’s a very shifty guard that can create space and get in the lane at will, he can stick it from deep off the catch and make shots at multiple levels and he’s a good playmaker with good vision as well.
Kendon Peebles Kendon Peebles 6'4" | SF Catholic | 2022 State VA | 6’4” WF | CBG Elite (Catholic)
Peebles is one of the most underrated wings in the 757 as the high motor 6’4” forward can impact the game in so many different ways when he’s on the floor. He’s a gritty kind of player that takes pride defensively and can guard multiple positions and block shots on help side, he’s excellent in transition with his ability to finish at and above the rim and he makes all the hustle and winning plays to help his team.
Georges Archer Georges Archer 6'4" | SF Princess Anne | 2022 State VA | 6’5” WF | CBG Elite (Princess Anne)
Archer is another wing that’s similar to Peebles as he’s athletic, plays with a high motor and has a very high ceiling moving forward. He’s grown to 6’5” with a strong frame and brings it on both ends of the floor, he can finish well above the rim both in transition and in the half court and he’s developed in his ability to make shots and create on the perimeter as well.
Keyontae Lewis Keyontae Lewis 6'7" | PF LC Bird | 2022 State VA | 6’8” C | CBG Elite (LC Bird)
Lewis is a prospect that coaches should really take a strong look at in the Fall Series as he’s dropped a lot of weight and as a result has become much more mobile and explosive because of it. He’s a load in the paint that can overpower people but he also has good finesse to his game as well as he has good touch around the rim and out to 18 feet, he’s patient and lets the game come to him and he’s a good passer out of the paint and at the high post as well.
Davien Banks Davien Banks 6'2" | SG LC Bird | 2022 State VA | 6’2” WG | CBG Elite (LC Bird)
Banks is one of the top shooters in the event and should catch the eyes of some colleges as he is very efficient and productive in a number of ways. The 6’2” off guard has developed nicely as he has become a very high IQ guy who can work off the ball to get open, he’s a capable secondary ball handler that can handle pressure and make plays and he can really fill it up from deep when he gets it going.
Gray Proffitt Gray Proffitt 6'5" | CG Douglas Freeman | 2022 State VA | 6’5” CG | CBG Elite (Douglas Freeman)
Proffitt was a breakout guy at the CBG Winter Series last year with Team 22 and he has a lot of interest from some small schools with his size and ability to play both guard positions. At 6’5” he has a strong frame and doesn’t look like an on ball guard but he’s very crafty and able to make plays off the bounce, he’s an excellent playmaker with good vision and he can score it when he needs to from multiple levels.
James Patterson James Patterson 6'5" | SG Carmel School | 2022 State VA | 6’5” WF | CBG Elite (Church Hill Academy)
Patterson, or “Biggie” as he’s known by teammates and coaches, was a breakout performer on the CBG Circuit last year and has picked up significant college interest over the past year. He has great size on the wing and is a very explosive athlete, he brings it on both ends of the floor and has good hands and moves his feet defensively and he can play both on and off the ball to create shots for himself.
