: His team played in the first game of the morning but the early start didn’t seem to have much of an impact on him. He used his athleticism and intensity on both ends of the floor to score a game high of 21 Points with the majority of his baskets coming in transition after his squad forced a high amount of turnovers.
Northside Senior Guard Tristan Harkins: He’s known for his ability to shoot the trey ball at a high level but in their matchup with The Life, his defense down the stretch was one of the main reasons that his team was able to come back and pull off the win. He came up with multiple steals and forced some turnovers late in the game to go along with 13 points which was a team high for the contest.
Eagles Sophomore Forward Alonso Easterling: Defense was where he made his impact during this matchup. He provided some outstanding defense inside the paint, coming up with a season high of six blocked shots for the game. He has all the tools to be a dominant player on the defensive end but also has shown some flashes of potential on the offensive end this season.
The Life Senior Guard Darrion Young: This year he has a new role, handling the ball for a high amount of minutes each game as well as taking on a larger scoring role. Scoring a game high of 20 Points, he displayed the ability to convert difficult shots and remained aggressive throughout their matchup with Northside.
Eagles Sophomore Forward Garek Dixon: This was his best overall game of the season, scoring 20 Points and pulling down 5 Rebounds. His high motor is one of the reasons that he’s able to impact games the way he does, although at times he is at a size advantage, he doesn’t allow that to impact how hard he works consistently for rebounds and interior buckets.
TCA Junior Forward/Center Joseph Amador: Each week he has gotten better and seems to be gaining confidence on the offensive side of the ball. With his team missing their leading scorer on Saturday , he provided a high amount of the offense with a team high of 17 Points while pulling down 8 Rebounds.
