So today we decided to review the Pennsylvania Class of 2025 rankings and reveal six players who used the summer 2021 grassroots period as well as September’s “fall ball” events to increase their recruiting stock significantly.
Below are six southeastern Pennsylvania 2025 stock risers you need to keep an eye on for the remainder of the fall and during the 2021-22 high school season.
11 to 8… Micah Waters Micah Waters 6'1" | CG West Catholic | 2025 State PA – 6’0” / West Catholic / Team Final EYBL / Wing: Waters is extremely skilled and there is no limit to what this 2025 prospect can achieve. He can score off the bounce and is exceedingly difficult to stop in one-on-one dribble drives. Waters is an incredibly good passer and will not hesitate to move the rock to an open teammate. His jump shot is a developing weapon, but Waters has shown flashes that he can hit midrange Js and the occasional 3-ball.
29 to 18… Jacob Meachem Jacob Meachem 5'8" | PG Hill School | 2025 State PA – 5’8” / Hill School / K-Low Elite / Point Guard: Meachem is a slick (but never out of control) lead guard who uses his deep bag of handling tricks to create scoring opportunities for himself and others. He is constantly in attack mode, frequently navigating the full court through an entire opposing team before laying the ball in. Meachem can also shoot the jumper from multiple spots on the floor. This backcourt prospect displays superb court awareness and passing skills. He possesses instincts for the game that are beyond his years. Meachem capped off a tremendous July circuit at the Jersey Shore Jam Fest where he and his K-Low Elite teammates “played up” in the 15U platinum division and brought home the championship hardware. In talking with Hill School Head Coach Seth Eilberg, this fall Meachem has, “quickly adjusted to playing against the length and physicality of varsity players.” Additionally, Eilberg commented that Meachem’s “three-point shooting is improving every day.”
69 to 20… Jaron McKie Jaron McKie 6'2" | SG St. Joseph's Prep | 2025 State #74 Nation PA – 6’1” / St. Joseph’s Prep / Team Jacko / Combo Guard: McKie is a high-level scorer who can run as a point man or shooting guard. A long and fluid athlete, he excels on the fast break and can finish through contact. McKie had a tremendous summer. In June at the Philly HS Live event McKie had a major impact for the SJP varsity squad including 13 points in a win over Chester (PA). During July McKie was part of talented backcourt that led Team Jacko to an 8-1 record. His personal highlight was a 20 points; 8 rebounds and 6 assists performance at the Made Hoops 8th Grade Finale Tournament. During “fall ball” events, McKie is receiving significant minutes for SJP, and we expect that to continue this coming high school season.
NR to 25… Judah Hidalgo Judah Hidalgo 6'4" | PG Paul VI | 2025 State NJ – 6’2” / Archbishop Wood / Team Final EYBL / Point Guard: Hidalgo’s versatility is a real problem for opposing teams to defend. With his height and physicality, he can (and will) post up smaller guards very effectively. A soft touch in close allows Hidalgo to easily convert on those interior mismatches. If coaches chose to defend him with a big, Hidalgo will use his quickness and handles to blow by that much slower defender. A fluid jump shot with range out to the arc only adds to his versatility. When Hidalgo develops a more polished midrange game, he will be unstoppable. His offensive skills are complimented by a next level basketball IQ as well as the fact that Hidalgo is a solid defender. A very impressive July was capped by a 26-point scoring outburst at the Made Hoops 8th Grade Finale tournament (team was 4-1 at that event).
NR to 47… Ben Rill Ben Rill 6'8" | PF Central York | 2025 State PA – 6’7” / Westtown School / Team Final EYBL / Wing: Rill is a versatile lefty who projects as an elite stretch-4 college player. Right now, he is a match-up nightmare for opposing high school coaches. With his height, wingspan and good footwork, Rill can post up guards and finish over them with either hand. Assigning a big fella to cover Rill will not work either. He will simply abuse that slow footed defender by using his handles to create space for his smooth jump shot. Or Rill will blow by that opposing power forward/center, get into the paint, elevate, and then flush on everyone’s head. When Rill puts more muscle on his frame, he will be unstoppable.
NR to 101… Ben Natal Ben Natal 6'2" | PG Central York | 2025 State PA – 6’0” / Central York / York Ballers / Point Guard: Natal is point guard who can fill a variety of needs for a program. If you need a scoring point guard, Natal can create plays in the open court using his change of pace ability to slice through defenders and score in transition. Additionally, he can splash home jumpers from behind the three-point line at a high clip. If you need a point guard to run a half-court offense and facilitate for others, Natal has the dribbling skills and basketball instincts to execute that plan. Finally, if you need a lead guard to sacrifice for the team and spend all his energy playing lockdown defense on an opponent’s No. 1 option, Natal is your guy. Recently at the Hop Group Fall Jam Fest, Natal averaged 15 points and 6 assists per game (3-1) while shooting 50% from deep (8/16 on 3PAs).
