These young men not only can hit the outside shot they also displayed high IQ and ball-handling skills. These are guards to keep an eye on in the 2024 class:
Cameron Simpson Cameron Simpson 6'6" | SF Oakridge | 2024 State FL 6’6 Central Florida Christian Academy- Cameron is one of the best shooters in the 2024 class. He is deadly from beyond the arc and has a high release point which makes it difficult for smaller defenders to defend. He moves very well without the ball and has a great catch-and-shoot release. I really enjoyed watching Cameron and Damon Folds exchanging 3’s in one of the showcase games. Cameron will continue to grow and has a ton of upside. He has a long wingspan and was defending well. I see Cameron being able to play multiple positions and expect his name to continue to grow throughout the 2024 class.
Damon Folds 5’8 John Carroll High School -Damon has a high basketball IQ and was one of the top playmakers during the Top 250 showcase. He is very unselfish and knows how to get others involved. Damon is very quick to the basket and plays great defense. He is a consistent shooter from behind the arc and advanced ball handling skills. He is know around the travel circuit as “Baby Nash” as he style of play resembles Steve Nash.
CHRISTIAN MAXON 6’0 Fort Pierce Central- Christian was one of the few 2025 players attending the showcase but you would never know as he more than held his own. Christian and twin brother Christopher are some of the best shooters I have seen. Their work ethic is second to none and they both have been growing their brand quickly across the 2025 class. Very high IQ, tons of energy, active on defense and can score in a variety of ways. They will be 4-year starters on Varsity and will be a pair to keep eyes on as they continue to develop.
CHRISTOPHER MAXON CHRISTOPHER MAXON 6'1" | PG Fort Pierce Central | 2024 FL 6’0 Fort Pierce Central – The other half of the Maxon brothers are known as the “Sniper Twins” and can put up points in a hurry. Christopher moves very well without the ball and plays relentless defense. He is great at attacking the basket and a handful to stop on offense. Christopher goes hard every possession and leaves it all on the floor. I can’t wait to see them together lighting up the scoreboards in High School.
Tyler Diaz Tyler Diaz 6'0" | CG Gateway | 2024 FL 6’0 Lehigh Senior- Tyler has a motor that does not stop and is constantly attacking on offense. Tyler made some very tough finishes at the basket and was a standout performer during the showcase. Tyler gives great effort on defense and is tough to stop in transition. He is a seasoned vet when it comes to the guard position and has a strong overall game. I have seen him play for several years now and every time I see him he just keeps getting better.
