However, that doesn’t mean that coverage stops here at Prep Hoops Indiana. Over the next couple of weeks we will take a closer look at prospects in the Class of 2022 with our Senior Spotlight series.
Wesley Celichowski Wesley Celichowski 7'0" | C Floyd Central | 2022 State IN (Floyd Central H.S. 2022)
Without a doubt, Celichowski is one of the most intriguing prospects in the state of Indiana right now. Flying under-the-radar down in southern Indiana, the Floyd Central product is just starting to see his recruitment heat up. First of all, at 6’11″-7’0″ tall, he is one of the biggest prospects in the state. That alone draws the attention of college programs. Additionally, he has a nice frame, the ability to get up and down the floor, and displays good hands in the pick-and-roll. Celichowski flashes signs of developing into a real scoring threat around the basket with his footwork and mixture of finishes. Protects the rim on the defensive end as well. He received his first and only offer from NAIA powerhouse Marian back in early August and visited campus about a month later. Programs at all levels remain interested including Air Force, Appalachian State, Holy Cross, Morehead State, Elmhurst, Midway, and Olivet Nazarene.
Antonio Lisenbee Jr. (Arsenal Tech H.S. 2022)
Lisenbee is a high-upside prospect that could potentially blow up in the coming months. He has found a new home at Arsenal Tech where he will hold down the fort inside for one of the most talented rosters in the state of Indiana this season. A 6’7″ forward, Lisenbee is extremely long and athletic. He dunks everything on the offensive end and has a lot of positional versatility on the defensive side of the ball. As he continue to develops his back the basket skill he could see his recruitment really take off. Has shown that he is coachable over time and has the motor, so I suspect that he will continue to get better and better. His best basketball is definitely ahead of him. Coaches at all levels need to be keeping tabs on him at the very least.
Connor Penrod Connor Penrod 6'6" | C DeKalb | 2022 State IN (DeKalb H.S. 2022)
Penrod is one of the best small college post prospects in the state right now. A strong, left-handed center, the 6’6″ Penrod has a lot of skill around the basket. He is a highly developed back to the basket scorer at this point. Along with the ability to finish with both hands around the basket, Penrod made 37% of his 3’s as junior. He will make the open ones. Just a highly efficient all-around player. Recently visited Manchester and should continue to get high-level Division III interest.
