We have designated specific teams in a creative and fun platform to simulate participation in “real” game situations. All four classes will touch on the starters, and the sixth man, while some groups will include bench players. So with two months before the official start date of the high school season, we take an in-depth look at some of the top performers on the hardwood this Fall. Let’s tip-off with the Senior Class First Team Selections…
Starters:
Adou Thiero Adou Thiero 6'4" | CG Quaker Valley | 2022 State PA / 6’4 combo guard / Quaker Valley High School
- An extremely talented guard with the ability to “take over” games on a regular basis
- This top performers increasing height and length have made him a definite problem on both ends of the floor for his opponents
- Adou has a variety of Division 1 interests and a few offers that will only enhance during the high school season
- Last Season: Averaged 23 points per game and shot 90% from the free-throw line
Devin Carney Devin Carney 6'1" | CG Butler | 2022 State PA / 6’0 point guard / Butler High School
- A young man with the confidence and competitiveness that makes him a strong leader for his team
- He has a quick release on his jump shot and will score in bunches during each contest
- Devin has committed to Division 1 Elon University to continue his academic and basketball careers
- Last Season: Averaged 30 points per game and shot 40% from the three-point line
Markus Frank Markus Frank 6'5" | PF Quaker Valley | 2022 State PA / 6’5 wing forward / Quaker Valley High School
- A skilled player that causes match-up problems in the post and on the perimeter each time he steps on the floor
- On defense, he protects the rim with his shot-blocking ability and rebounds at a high level
- Markus has a good amount of interest from college coaches on a variety of levels
- Last Season: Averaged 18 points per game and 10 rebounds per game
LA Pratt LA Pratt 6'5" | SF Lincoln Park | 2022 State PA / 6’4 point guard / Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School
- A long, athletic point guard that uses his size and ability to be a leader during offensive sets
- He looks to create transition baskets from his defense and dishes out assists with precision passing to his teammates
- LA has been garnering attention from Division 1 and Division 2 schools and currently holds an offer from Duquesne University
- Last Season: Averaged 14 points per game and 5 assists per game
Angelo Reeves Angelo Reeves 6'7" | SF First Love Christian Academy | 2022 State PA / 6’7 power forward / First Love Christian Academy
- This big man has the talent to cause havoc with quality shot-blocking ability and athletism during half-court sets
- An established post player that can “knock down” the mid-range jumper as well
- Angelo has received interest from Division 1, Division 2, and NAIA schools
- Last Season: Averaged 12 points per game and 8 rebounds per game
6th Man: Gavin Cote Gavin Cote 6'5" | CG Peters Township | 2022 State PA / 6’5 shooting guard / Peters Township
- His versatility gives him the opportunity to “light up” the scoreboard on a regular basis during a game
- He can handle the ball and has excellent court awareness, which creates opportunities for his teammates
- Gavin has been accumulating Division 2 offers and will be one of the top seniors in the area this winter
- Last Season: Averaged 16 points per game and shot 85% from the free-throw line
