25) Ryan Steger Ryan Steger 6'2" | SG James River (Buchanan) | 2023 State VA | 6’2” | James River (Buchanan) (#65 Overall)
Steger has been one of the top scorers and shooters in the Roanoke area over the past few years, and he showed it this summer as he’s played extremely well for Havoc Roanoke. He has a little unorthodox shot but he knocks it down consistently and has great range, he’s very confident in his ability to fill it up and he brings it every time he’s on the floor and doesn’t care who’s in front of him.
24) Adrian Myers Adrian Myers 6'5" | SF Massanutten | 2023 State VA | 6’5” | Sherando (#64 Overall)
Myers broke onto the scene this summer with VA Playmakerz and is looking like one of the top players in the Winchester area, and he could shoot up the rankings as he continues to develop and we get to see him more. He has great size on the wing and is a good athlete, he plays with a great motor and brings it on both ends and he has a good skill set offensively as he can create shots and use his size off the bounce.
23) Xavier Walton Xavier Walton 6'5" | SF Greensville County | 2023 State VA | 6’5”.| Greensville County (#62 Overall)
Walton is another new name to the rankings and is another very good athlete to come out of a Greensville County program that has produced some very talented players over the past few years. He has prototypical size and athleticism on the wing, he’s unselfish and makes winning plays on both ends and he’s productive across the board as a scorer, defender and rebounder.
22) Chance Briggs Chance Briggs 6'4" | SF Hargrave | 2023 State VA | 6’4” | Hargrave (#61 Overall)
Briggs is one of the most talented players in the Danville/Martinsville area and if the rumors are true that he’s heading to Hargrave he’ll only continue to improve and get better moving forward. At 6’4” he’s a long and athletic wing that can make shots consistently, he can get downhill and plays way above the rim and he can guard multiple positions and rebounds well for his position,
21) Dante Kearse Dante Kearse 6'5" | SF Hargrave Military Academy | 2023 State VA | 6’4” | Manchester (#57 Overall)
Kearse was a big reason for Manchester’s surprising success last season and he continued that with a good spring and summer for VA Havoc. He’s a high motor and physical wing that can get downhill and finishes well through traffic, he works well in transition and in isolation situations and he continues to get better and better every time I’ve seen him play.
20) Myles Derricot Myles Derricot 6'2" | SG Varina | 2023 State VA | 6’2” | Varina (#54 Overall)
Derricot is a very talented two guard who could have a breakout season this year, and if the rumors are true that he’s heading to Varina from Patrick-Henry he’ll be a vital part for a team that could compete for a state title this year. He’s the prototypical type of two guard who is a natural scorer from multiple levels, has deep range from deep and can attack closeouts and he has the added bonus of the ability to be a secondary ball handler and playmaker too.
19) Jadon Burgess Jadon Burgess 6'3" | SF Harrisonburg | 2023 State VA | 6’3” | Harrisonburg (#51 Overall)
Burgess is a three sport standout at Harrisonburg that excels on the baseball and football field as well, and the long lefty whose father was a former division one assistant and the current head coach at Harrisonburg has a natural feel for the game. He’s a Swiss-army knife who can score it from multiple levels, he can handle it and make plays for others and he’s a high motor kid and good athlete who will do whatever it takes to help his team win.
18) Blake Neal Blake Neal 6'6" | PF St. Stephen's & St. Agnes | 2024 State VA | 6’3” | Paul VI (#50 Overall)
Neal has a chance to play a pivotal role for PVI moving forward as they are very young but need a guy like him who can mix it up and do the dirty work on both ends of the floor. He brings great energy when he’s on the floor, he can knock it down but thrives as a slasher and in transition and he’s a defensive minded guy who will guard the other team’s best player too.
17) Jadon Pace Jadon Pace 6'4" | SF Kecoughtan | 2023 State VA | 6’4” | Kecougthan (#41 Overall)
Pace was a breakout guy in the CBG events throughout the winter and has followed it up with a good summer with a deep and talented Boo Williams team as well. He’s the prototypical three-and-d prospect that has good size and length, shoots it extremely well from deep and we’ve seen him get more and more confident every time we’ve seen him play.
16) AJ Clark AJ Clark 6'2" | SG Menchville | 2023 State VA | 6’2” | Menchville (#37 Overall)
Clark, who is a teammate of Pace on that Boo Williams team we mentioned before, is one of the most explosive athletes in the 757 and a great two way player. He’s a natural athlete with good speed and is very explosive in transition, he can play on or off the basketball and is solid playmaker and he has big time potential as a defender both on and off the ball.
