With 11 different rounds of games beginning at 9:05 Saturday morning, there were a ton of notable performances, but these are the five players who really stood out in Indiana’s Class of 2022 from the games I watched.
Reggie Bass Reggie Bass 6'4" | SG Arsenal Tech | 2022 State #175 Nation IN (Arsenal Tech H.S. 2022/Team Teague 2022 Turner)- The Illinois recruit dropped 30 points in Team Teague’s first game of the day, including 23 in the second half, to lead his team to a come-from-behind win against Team Speights 2022. Bass is a reliable threat from beyond the arc and has excellent court vision in transition. It was his second 30-point performance in as many games here at Prep Hoops 2K21.
Landen Babusiak Landen Babusiak 6'11" | C Bosco Institute/Indiana Connections Academy | 2022 State IN (Don Bosco Institute 2022/Indiana Game 2022 Premier)- Babusiak is a mobile 6’9″ forward with a knack for scoring around the basket. He was instrumental in Indiana Game’s dominating performance against Team Future Saturday afternoon scoring a team-high 13 points to go with several rebounds. He scored via rim-runs on the secondary break, in the post, and on tip-ins at the rim. Continues to be one for college coaches to evaluate as the live period winds down.
Antoine Hurns (George Washington H.S. 2022/EG10 2022)- Hurns was very impressive in EG10’s afternoon win over PSB Denver 2022. The super long, athletic 6’7″ forward showed off the ability to knock it in from three-point range along with being super bouncy at the rim. He rebounds well, especially on the offensive end, and just has a ton of potential. Very intriguing prospect for coaches to catch on to late in the evaluation period.
Omari Ferguson (Pike H.S. 2022/George Hill All Indy-Woo 2022)- The 6’2″ lefty guard shot it very well in the early morning game as George Hill All Indy-Woo blew out Illinois Elite 2022. Ferguson has a sweet shooting stroke and enough strength to finish inside when he attacks a closeout. Super athletic at the rim too with explosive leaping ability. There are a lot of talented guards walking the halls of Pike High School right now, but Ferguson is definitely among the names that you need to keep an eye on.
Ryan Conwell Ryan Conwell 6'2" | SG Pike | 2022 State #155 Nation IN (Pike H.S. 2022/EG10 2022)- Having Conwell on a top performers list is almost a cliche at this point. However, he was EG10’s leading scorer Saturday afternoon in their win over PSB Denver so it wouldn’t be fair to leave him off. Conwell scored 17 points and got hot from beyond the arc in the second half to help secure the victory. The Virginia Tech offer that he earned Friday night will almost certainly not be his last high-major scholarship.
Harold Woods Harold Woods 6'3" | SF Hammond | 2021 State IN (Hammond H.S. 2021/Indiana Ice 2022 Gold Gauntlet)- Okay, fine this is a 2021 graduate in a 2022 list but Woods played well enough to deserve mention. He is an athletic 6’4″ guard that got it going from beyond the arc Saturday evening while also showcasing the ability to get to the basket off of the dribble at will. He is still up in the air when it comes to a college decision and path for his next step, but he is without a doubt one for college coaches to track and evaluate.
